This second volume of accounts by nurses who served with U.S. forces in Vietnam presents recollections of 17 women who cared for American casualties during a controversial war. They faced overwhelming trauma, conflicting emotions and isolation while caring for wounded at frontline hospitals, aboard ships and in medical centers.
