In a personal story told from the hero's point of view, both young
Billy Batson and his alter ego, Captain Marvel, devote themselves
to keeping hope alive by granting the requests of a local
hospital's children--in a sense, making their wishes come true.
From the fan-favorite team behind SUPERMAN: PEACE ON EARTH and
BATMAN: WAR ON CRIME comes the third entry in the oversized tabloid
format series that has revolutionized comics. SHAZAM!: POWER OF
HOPE marks the latest collaboration between Emmy Award-winning
writer/producer Paul Dini (BATMAN: HARLEY QUINN) and multiple
award-winning Alex Ross (KINGDOM COME, UNCLE SAM). Perhaps no
classic comic-book character embodies the spirit of youth and
optimism as thoroughly as Captain Marvel--the wish fulfillment of
every child who ever dreamed of having super powers and taking
flight. In a personal story told from the hero's point of view,
both young Billy Batson and his alter ego, Captain Marvel, devote
themselves to keeping hope alive by granting the requests of a
local hospital's children--in a sense, making their wishes come
true. Powerfully written by Dini, with staggering painted art by
Ross that combines traditional comic-book storytelling and the
illustrated-text format of storybooks, SHAZAM!: POWER OF HOPE finds
our hero taking a direct hand upon meeting a boy who has been
injured by domestic violence. Deeply affected by the encounter, our
story shows just how human the World's Mightiest Mortal truly is.
Gotham City is changing. After Mayor Hill is killed by a mysterious
assailant, Batman finds himself tracking down an ancient order that

Batman to an ancient Gotham City legend? Alan Burnett, Paul Dini,
Ty Templeton, and Monica Kubina return to comics for an all-new
season that picks up where the classic animated series left off.

In this feature-length animated adventure, Batman (voiced by Kevin
Conroy) tracks his arch enemy the Joker (Mark Hamill) to
Metropolis, where he has hatched a plot with evil millionaire Lex
Luthor (Clancy Brown) to destroy Superman (Tim Daly) with a
Kryptonite statue. The Caped Crusader attempts to alert the Man of
Steel, but the superheroes find themselves clashing over working
methods - especially when they find themselves competing by day (as
Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, of course) for the attentions of
intrepid reporter Lois Lane (Dana Delany).
Five animated adventures from the caped crusader of Gotham City. In
'Leather Wings', the police suspect that Batman is responsible for
a horrifying bat creature that is terrorizing Gotham city. Batman
must act quickly to clear his name and find the true culprit. The
Joker escapes from Arkham Asylum in 'Christmas With the Joker' so
that he can host his own deadly TV Christmas Special. In 'Nothing
to Fear', Batman must face his deepest fear to defeat Gotham's
newest super-villain, the Scarecrow. 'The Last Laugh' sees the
Joker threatening Gotham City with a dangerous mind-altering
lauging gas. Poison Ivy appears for the first time in 'A Pretty
Poison', disguising herself as Pamela Isley to threaten the life of
her new 'fiancé' District Attorney Harvey Dent with her deadly
embrace, after he unwittingly eradicated a rare flower species
several years before.
