The Talmud is one of the most important holy books of the Hebrew
religion and of the world. No English translation of the book
existed until the author presented this work. To this day, very
little of the actual text seems available in English -- although we
find many interpretive commentaries on what it is supposed to mean.
The Talmud has a reputation for being long and difficult to digest,
but Polano has taken what he believes to be the best material and
put it into extremely readable form. As far as holy books of the
world are concerned, it is on par with The Koran, The Bhagavad-Gita
and, of course, The Bible, in importance. This clearly written
edition will allow many to experience The Talmud who may have
otherwise not had the chance.
Freemasonry is a secret mystical brotherhood that dates back many
centuries. According to the author it teaches that a Great
Architect of the Universe exists, and of the possibility that an
inner principle of life is found within us and survives bodily
death. These important teachings are laid out clearly in this book
-- starting from remote history and up through the ages, revealing
the secrets as it goes. It covers such subjects as the all-seeing
eye, immortality of the soul, the mystery of death, Solomon's
temple, the Greater Mysteries, Sun worship, symbolic architecture,
Hiran Abif, and much more.
The Knights Templar is a secret society that has existed for many
centuries. Few books have been written about them from an insiders
point of view. This book was originally released by the Grand
Encampment of Knights Templar, United States of America, after
seven years of historical research by an assigned committee. The
author, Brown, was a member of that committee and their purpose was
to provide Templars with an accurate history of their organization.
It was for members only and much of the information is not found
elsewhere. We've also added, from another source, their
Constitution and Abbreviated By-Laws as a service for potential
members or for those who desire a better knowledge of the inner
workings of the Templars. These two works, combined together, will
hopefully shed new light on an interesting and sometimes mysterious
organization.

When the Spanish took over Central America in the 16th and 17th
centuries they made certain to destroy the writings and holy books
of the native Mayans in an effort to convert them to Christianity.
Few texts survived, yet one did of the highest importance. It is
called The Popol Vuh. It is the creation story of the Mayan culture
and, according to the author, this was the first English rendering
of that text. It tells the story of a great flood, gods who created
mankind, and a number of other interesting parallels to mythologies
from around the world. This is the "Genesis" of the mysterious
Mayas and should be essential reading for those interested in our
ancient past. The book also contains three bonus chapters from
Spence on mythology and religion from ancient Mexico. All of the
gods and deities are fully explained and at times compared with
those from Greece, Rome, and Egypt. All told, this is a fascinating
collection of mythology from Central America and Mexico.
The word Atrahasis means "extra wise" and refers to the earliest
known version of Noah, who built an ark and saved mankind from
destruction. This is that story, from ancient Sumeria, which many
scholars believe was the original from which all known flood
stories came from. This was the most popular story in the ancient
world and has survived for over five thousand years. It is the only
one that all cultures, worldwide, seem to share. Why? Was there
really a great flood? And why do we not explore the oldest known
version carefully for clues? That is the purpose of this book,
which also includes a number of other interesting flood story
fragments and documents.
This epic poem is the oldest known to exist in history, predating
Homer's Iliad by about 1500 years. Gilgamesh, the hero, discovers
he has godly blood, so sets out on a journey to the land of the
gods in an attempt to gain entry. It is of ancient Sumerian origin,
from the land called Mesopotamia. It is an important work for those
studying ancient literature, history and mythology. This Babylonian
version is one of the oldest known, if not the oldest. Later
renditions are more common and seem to embellish the story, so this
work is important for serious researchers. From the standpoint of
literature alone, it is also an interesting tale that is enjoyable
to read.
Thomas Paine was a brilliant man who played a vital role in the
American Revolution of 1776. This was the last book he wrote, which
centers almost entirely around Christianity. To Paine, it made
sense to question everything in order to make valid answers
possible. He puts forth many questions in this book regarding
Christianity, confronting many beliefs with pure and rational
reason.
This is considered to be the most important book left out of the
Bible. During the first two hundred years of Christianity it was
the most widely read of all texts. This is the best available
version because it was originally written in Ethiopic and the
translator, R. H. Charles, directly and accurately translated it.
It also includes additional research, which Charles added at a
later time. He said of this work, The influence of I Enoch on the
New Testament has been greater than that of all the other
apocryphal and pseudepigraphical books put together. It is referred
to in the Hebrew Zohar, The Book of Jubilees, The Epistle of St.
Jude, and other ancient texts. Written mostly in the second century
BC, it explains how evil came into the world with the arrival of
the fallen angels. Enoch was chosen to be a scribe in the judgment
process due to his neutral human standing. Many of the ideas
adopted by Christianity were first found in this book, including
the Final Judgment, the concept of demons, the origins of evil and
the Messianic Kingdom. If you wish to go to the source of
Christianity, this is a great place to start. This is by far the
most complete and accurate version which every serious researcher
and student should have.

This book contains one lecture and two of Krishnamurti's legendary
Ommen Campfire Talks given in Holland during his early years of
teaching, and closes with three of his poems. It reflects the last
and very best of his teachings while he was still head of the Order
of the Star. Includes his first revolutionary talk, "Who Brings the
Truth," at a time when he had been heralded as the next World
Teacher, the Maitreya. Krishnamurti asks those present if they
should believe he is the world teacher, how would it help them?
This talk stresses that if you depend on authority, you will be
building your foundations on sand. All of these early lessons guide
the reader toward finding what matters most within themselves. His
greatness as a teacher was in showing us how to be lamps unto
ourselves, as found in this book, which was rare and out of print
until now.

your love for them in their original form. Also includes chapters

This book is a tribute to the life and work of Zecharia Sitchin. He
was a pioneer who left a great legacy behind regarding our ancient
past and the origins of mankind. He taught us to think in new ways
based on his breakthrough research and exciting discoveries.
Sitchin was one of about 200 people who could translate the first
form of writing on the earth - ancient Sumerian cuneiform script.
By combining translated text with modern scientific knowledge and
archaeological discoveries, he pieced together in his books a more
complete mosaic of mankind's shrouded past. He believed that
mythological stories were not figments of people's imaginations,
but records of events that had actually taken place, and spent his
life proving it. As modern science catches up with ancient
knowledge, we have continued to discover, largely through Sitchin's
work, that the gods were once here and that they may be coming
back. M. J. Evans, Ph.D., presents in this work an extremely well
researched overview of Sitchin's contributions to the knowledge of
ourselves and our true origins. His work is put within the
framework of a new paradigm, which is looming on the horizon. It
will grow as our minds continue to open and new discoveries
continue to corroborate his findings.
The author was a gifted psychic medium from England who was widely
known for her skills. Her main talent was reading peoples' past
lives and she developed a strong reputation for doing this
accurately. This once rare book answers such questions as: How do
we know that reincarnation is a fact? Exactly why do we
reincarnate? What happens when the soul passes from this life into
the next? Under normal circumstances, how long does it take before
we come back in another life? Why do most of us not remember our
past lives? These questions are answered clearly and straight to
the point. Includes a section of letters from people who remember
their past lives, and concludes with testimonials bearing witness
to the skills of the author. These amazing stories will leave
little doubt as to the reality of past lives.
Is the God of the Old Testament the true God that we should be
worshipping? With this book, your views on God will never be the
same. With clear Biblical evidence, Jehovah is shown to be an
entity with virtually no sense of ethics, forgiveness, or
compassion. In this book the following questions are seriously
addressed: .Was Jehovah a god, or a demon? . Why did he never
promise a heaven or any kind of reward to his followers? . Does any
entity that murders thousands of devoted followers deserve to be
worshipped? We have come a long way since the ancient barbaric
tribes of the Middle East worshipped their various gods, including
Jehovah. Tice puts forth the idea, long overdue, that mankind
should be allowed to advance spiritually and religiously to keep
pace with our modern intellectual maturity. We have walked on the
moon, cracked the genetic code, and our knowledge grows
exponentially. We are no longer an ancient, isolated tribe of
nomads, but a thriving modern culture that deserves a more
practical and loving God. This loving God does exist, so it is time
to take the leap. Jehovah has stopped punishing people in terrible
ways, so it is probably safe to buy this book.
