The year is 2550. The world as the human race once knew it; had changed two-hundred years previous. Gone were the cities that featured regularly on the daytime and evening news bulletins and used as backdrops for Hollywood Movies. The nations of the world had been displaced and that was due to the resurgence of mankind's age-old adversary, the VAMPIRE!
Capital punishment in the United Kingdom was used from ancient times until the second half of the 20th century. The last executions in the United Kingdom were by hanging, and took place in 1964, prior to capital punishment being suspended for murder in 1965 and finally abolished in 1969 (1973 in Northern Ireland)...In 2010, The government at that time, who were totally supported by the Law Lords of the United Kingdom, re-introduced capital punishment (Hanging). This was done because of decades of escalating violence, by terrorist organisations, and an escalation of both knife and gun crime in this country. My name is Mr. Tarquin Theodore Gilberdyke-Blythe. I am a professor of criminology at the University of Yorkshire. My study of the two protagonists 'The Gormley brothers' in this book, is a literary record of their story.
Syvannah and Haelyn are sisters. They both possess the power to transport themselves through time, and to any dimension. The journalistic account contained within the pages of this book, is a diary of their adventure in a parallel dimension. Their exploits combine futuristic technology and science fiction with medieval beliefs. Ancient myths and creatures prevail in a story of survival and adventure.
Kyleigh Sisson-Schmitt is once again thrust into a parallel world of magic and mystical adventure. Her power as a Rune-Stone witch could well be the key to saving the world in which she now finds herself, or she could be the destroyer! Transported through another magical portal in the space-time continuum, Kyleigh finds herself in the doubleganger realm of the ancient druids' ring of 'Stonehenge' in England, where Covens and Clans are referred to by their Druid name of 'Groves''
It has been forty-years since the Vigilator's wiped out the ZMV's and then having accomplished that gruesome task, they eradicated a small number of werewolves. My father; Jedidiah Drake "The Governor" finally retired from his role as leader of the group known as the Vigilators'. Our mother passed away almost ten-years ago. I moved to Scotland, whilst my father remained in Sevenoaks with my younger sister. He said that he was far too old to be starting a new life in a place that he knew very little about, so he still lives in our grandparent's house and spends his days reading and reminiscing about his exploits to anyone who will listen. As for me? Well, I was doing fine, then once again, the mutation virus raised its ugly head. This time; we are facing something far deadlier than the previous outbreaks, and this is my story.
The murders were only the beginning. No one knew what went on in the sullen, dark house on the hill, but town cop Austyn Bryant intended to find out. The sleepy town of Aberdeen, Washington State was being stalked by an unimaginable evil, it had become the haunting ground for horrors too grisly to be described. Young girls had vanished without a trace. Graves had been opened, corpses unearthed and carried away. Quiet moonlit nights gave way to a mindless slaughter, and to the sounds of hysterical screams... Time was running out. How many more would be dragged off into an endless night, and for what hideous purpose? Fear led to wild speculations about psychopaths, crazed animals, vampires, and werewolves. But Austyn knew better. Deep in the fog-shrouded woods, he had seen the nightmare figures. And the truth was much, much worse...

"Food Supply Chain Management" Edited by Michael A. Bourlakis and
Paul W. H. Weightman
The food supply chain is a series of links and
inter-dependencies, from farms to food consumers' plates, embracing
a wide range of disciplines. "Food Supply Chain Management" brings
together the most important of these disciplines and aims to
provide an understanding of the chain, to support those who manage
parts of the chain and to enhance the development of research
activities in the discipline.
"Food Supply Chain Management" follows a 'farm to fork'
structure. Each chapter starts with aims and an introduction and
concludes with study questions that students in particular will
find useful. Topics covered include the food consumer, perceived
risk and product safety, procurement, livestock systems and crop
production, food manufacture, retailing, wholesaling and catering.
Special consideration is also given to supermarket supply networks,
third party logistics, temperature controlled supply chains,
organic foods and the U. S. food supply chain. A final chapter
looks at the future for food supply chain management.
Michael Bourlakis and Paul Weightman, the editors and
contributors to this timely and fascinating book, have drawn
together chapters from leading authorities in this important area,
to provide a book that is an essential purchase for all those
involved in the supply of food and its study. Those involved in the
food supply chain within food companies and in academic
establishments, including agricultural scientists, food scientists,
food technologists, and students studying these subjects, will find
much of great use and interest within its covers. Libraries in all
universities and research stations where these subjects are studied
and taught should have several copies.
Dr Bourlakis and Dr Weightman teach and research at the School
of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, University of Newcastle
upon Tyne, U. K.
