This is the story of 3 generations of women in my family; women
walking with God. The story-line is based on facts, but purposely
omits many details of the lives of the characters. It has been
written this way so as not to get bogged down in details; and so
the reader can read between the lines of the story...can virtually
replace the photos with those from their own life's story, or that
of a friend or relative. The book is only unique in the specifics,
not in the generalities of how God works in the lives of His
children. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. How one
sees Him working in the lives of the characters in this book, is
the same way He can work in the life of the Reader. An alternate
title could have been: Everything in My Life Seemed to Be Going
Wrong...But God! This saga is told from the 3rd person perspective
of a wise, old Aunt telling a story to a group of young women
preparing for marriage.
Arcadia is where all is tranquil, balanced and harmonious. Aidan
Hamilton is an artist and a teacher. He works in a college of
education where he is able happily and effectively to combine both
aspects of his vocation. He teaches student teachers, and he paints
Arcadia. While he does not push the notion of Arcadia too far, he
never ceases to give thanks to the Gods he doesn't believe in, for
having been called to such congenial labour. His favourite artist
is Nicholas Poussin. Poussin, in Italy in the seventeenth century,
painted landscapes which embodied the very essence of Arcadia with
its lofty trees, its olive groves, its distant walled city basking
in the golden light of the late afternoon sun. At first, you do not
see, in a dark shadowed overhang of rock a man being crushed by a
serpent. Aidan is also blessed with a family, a wife and two
beautiful and adoring daughters. Here lurks the serpent. Cathy,
Aidan's wife, cannot love their elder daughter, Bobbie. Slowly and
inexorably, she is crushing Bobbie's happiness, and destroying the
secure world within which the family has been safe, and Aidan's
desperate attempts to mediate are of no avail. And then the
talented Louse De Grey arrives at the college.
John Connor has been writing poetry for 35 years and has build up
an enormous collection of inspirational poems. When his parents
passed away, he noticed that his poetry had changed. It was this
change that has propelled John's poems to be some of the best known
on the internet. His healing words have helped hundreds and
thousands of people work through their own grief and loss. John has
kindly agreed to donate 10% of the proceeds from this book to the
St Helena Hospice in Colchester, UK, a charity very close to John's
heart. He hopes this collection will help you find peace and
solace.

We all have wishes. What may stop us from getting what we want is a
fear of trying to get what we want or not knowing how to get what
we want. By believing in yourself and getting the support of others
you can conquer the fears that may stop you from getting what you
want. Begin by knowing what 'you' wish for and believe wishes can
come true.
Poisoned Tea is a reflection of life. A spectrum of words which
create a palette for the reader. Perception like beauty is in the
eyes of the beholder however there may be a grail to follow before
beauty and inspiration are revealed within the boundaries of your
heart. The outcome: contentment, understanding, and peace within
oneself and others cannot always be achieved without resolving
inner conflict. Thus we may experience some poisoned tea at some
point in our life.
