Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: Gut, Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die katholische Kirche, das Konzil von 1962-1965 und die kirchlichen und politischen Veranderungen, die daraus folgten, stellen einen interessanten Untersuchungsgegenstand dar. Denn die im Grundgesetz der Bundesrepublik Deutschland verankerten Grundrechte sind stark an die christlichen Grundwerte angelehnt und obwohl es in der Bundesrepublik eine offizielle Trennung von Kirche und Staat gibt, sind die Kirchen in Deutschland machtige Akteure und versuchen ihren Einfluss auch dementsprechend geltend zu machen. Jedoch sind gerade die christlichen Werte und Normen im letzten halben Jahrhundert von stetigen Veranderungen gepragt. Viele dieser Veranderungen sind vom letzen Vatikanischen Konzil beschlossen und verkundet worden. Die vom Konzil beschlossenen Erneuerungen und auch insbesondere die viel erorterten, aber nicht beschlossenen Themen stehen bis heute in der Diskussion bzw. Kritik. Seit dem Konzil hat sich das gesellschaftliche Leben in Deutschland erwartungsgemass nochmals sehr stark verandert. Der gesellschaftliche Wandel, hin zu einer post- industrialisierten Konsumgesellschaft, welche vom stetigen Wandel gepragt ist, hat dazu bei-getragen, dass auch die Kirche sich standig in einem Erneuerungsprozess wiederfindet. Diesem Erneuerungsprozess, der sich von dem Wandlungsgeschehen in der Gesellschaft abhangig machen lasst, gilt meine Aufmerksamkeit. Die konfliktgeladenen Themen, wie zum Beispiel die Diskussionen um den Paragraphen 218/218a, mit denen sich die katholische Kirche auseinander gesetzt hat, sollen genutzt werden, um den Weg der Kirche zur Liberalitat zu beleuchten. Mit Hilfe einer Veranschaulichung dieser Konflikte und den daraus folgenden Reaktionen der Akteure mochte ich feststellen, an welcher Stelle des Wandlungsprozesses die Kirche sich befindet und desgleichen ob sich ein rea
