Interventional Oncology is a fast-growing new field, as well as an emerging specialty. Many minimally-invasive, imaging-guided procedures seem set to replace more traditional open surgical techniques of treating solid tumors in a variety of organs. The aim of this book is to describe new interventional radiological methods in a succinct and practical form. Diagnostic radiological considerations relevant to the selection and follow-up of patients are also covered. The book begins with an overview of the basic principles of current interventional techniques, including thermal ablation, high intensity focused ultrasound, and embolization. Later chapters focus on tumors of the liver, kidney, lung, and bone, placing new interventional techniques in context by referring to the surgical and oncologic methods of treating the same conditions. With an emphasis on best practices, Interventional Oncology: A Practical Guide for the Interventional Radiologist will serve as a definitive guide to practicing physicians involved in this rapidly evolving field.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Conference on Security and Privacy in Digital Economy, SPDE 2020, held in Quzhou, China, in October 2020*. The 49 revised full papers and 2 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 132 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections: cyberspace security, privacy protection, anomaly and intrusion detection, trust computation and forensics, attacks and countermeasures, covert communication, security protocol, anonymous communication, security and privacy from social science. *The conference was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Symposium on Security in Computing and Communications, SSCC 2016, held in Jaipur, India, in September 2016. The 23 revised full papers presented together with 16 short papers and an invited paper were carefully reviewed and selected from 136 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on cryptosystems, algorithms, primitives; security and privacy in networked systems; system and network security; steganography, visual cryptography, image forensics; applications security.
In view of the incessant growth of data and knowledge and the continued diversifi- tion of information dissemination on a global scale, scalability has become a ma- stream research area in computer science and information systems. The ICST INFO- SCALE conference is one of the premier forums for presenting new and exciting research related to all aspects of scalability, including system architecture, resource management, data management, networking, and performance. As the fourth conf- ence in the series, INFOSCALE 2009 was held in Hong Kong on June 10 and 11, 2009. The articles presented in this volume focus on a wide range of scalability issues and new approaches to tackle problems arising from the ever-growing size and c- plexity of information of all kind. More than 60 manuscripts were submitted, and the Program Committee selected 22 papers for presentation at the conference. Each s- mission was reviewed by three members of the Technical Program Committee.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing, ICA3PP 2016, held in Granada, Spain, in December 2016. The 30 full papers and 22 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 117 submissions. They cover many dimensions of parallel algorithms and architectures, encompassing fundamental theoretical approaches, practical experimental projects, and commercial components and systems trying to push beyond the limits of existing technologies, including experimental efforts, innovative systems, and investigations that identify weaknesses in existing parallel processing technology.
