The study essays an overall view of 16th century German lexicography on the basis of single-, two- and multi-language dictionaries printed on German-speaking territory in that period. Das Thema Fremdwortbildung gehoert erst seit kurzem zum Forschungsgegenstand der germanistischen Wortbildungslehre.
