Taking as its starting point the much quoted comment by Socrates that 'an unexamined life is not worth living," this book is a 'field guide to living an examined life', a book to help you, the reader, to think about the life you are living, and to consider what you might want to do differently in the future. Like a good field guide, it does not provide answers, but provides the you with tools to identify and examine what is important.
