Im Zentrum der Beitrage dieses Sammelbandes steht die am Beispiel der Freudschen Psychoanalyse eroerterte Frage nach dem Status von wissenschaftlichem Wissen in literarischen Texten und nach der Funktion von literarischen Techniken bzw. Mustern in wissenschaftlichen Diskursen. Untersucht wird, inwiefern sich psychoanalytisches Wissen in den Medien und Formen der Literatur neu organisiert und in seinen Funktionen verandert. Damit verbindet sich das Problem der Literarizitat von Freuds Schriften, der epistemischen Aufgabe von literarischen Texten und ihrer Bedeutung fur den Diskurs der Psychoanalyse (Leistungen der Imagination, Wirkungen von Ratseln und Geheimnissen, Witz und Komik, Hervortreten kathartischer Elemente der Darstellung). Verknupft werden beide Forschungsbereiche durch die ihnen gemeinsame Reflexion uber die Regeln der Konstruktion von Wissen, die in methodischer Hinsicht auch eine kritische Prufung der konventionalisierten Grenzen zwischen Literatur und Wissenschaft verlangt.
