Crime drama directed by Ronnie Thompson and starring Matthew Goode, Joely Richardson and Stephen Moyer. Four elderly men have set their sights on the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company and intend to carry out a lucrative robbery. With the possibility of making off with £200 million, these old timers could be about to make history as well as a killing.
All three feature-length episodes of the prequel to the classic BBC sitcom 'Only Fools and Horses'. James Buckley stars as the 16-year-old Del Boy. Growing up in 1960s Peckham with mum Joan (Kellie Bright), dad Reg (Shaun Dingwall) and Grandad Ted (Phil Daniels), Del Boy spends his days getting up to no good with mates Boycie (Stephen Lloyd), Trigger (Lewis Osborne) and Denzil (Ashley Gerlach) - but his life is changed forever following the appearance of ex-con bounder Freddie Robdal (Nicholas Lyndhurst).
Second prequel to the hit BBC sitcom, 'Only Fools and Horses'. This hour-long episode joins the Trotters as they celebrate Christmas 1960, and finally make the long-anticipated move into their high rise flat. Reg Trotter (Shaun Dingwall) and his father Ted (Phil Daniels) are still without work, whilst Del Boy (James Buckley) is up to his old tricks, 'looking for a job' down the Docks, aka selling stolen records. Unappreciated Joan (Kellie Bright) is forced to leave baby Rodney in the care of her mother-in-law in order to continue being the sole breadwinner of the family, and to make matters worse, Freddie (Nicholas Lyndhurst), the father of her recently born baby, has been locked up again.
Submerge yourself in classic BBC Dickens dramatisations that, like the great novelist's work, have stood the test of time. The majesty of Charles Dickens' storytelling is captured in this DVD boxset that brings together BBC dramatisations of eight of the acclaimed author's classic novels. From the touching 1985 dramatisation of the semi-autobiographical Oliver Twist to the moving A Christmas Carol that sidesteps mawkish sentimentality and instead, offers viewers an affecting and sincere drama, each TV adaptation will delight fans of the author – and win over a generation of new ones. Starring a wealth of celebrated actors including Maggie Smith, Bob Hoskins, John Mills and many more, the Charles Dickens Collection celebrates the author's work with authentic and beautifully-played mini TV-series from a broadcaster that is world-renowned for its adaptations. In chronological order, the adaptations featured in this set are:
East London, the early 1980s. Frank Pollack (Jeff Robert) and his sons Mark and Colin (Phil Daniels and Tim Roth) are all unemployed. The situation seems hopeless, and things are made worse when Colin's Auntie Barbara (Marion Bailey) tries to help out by offering him some decorating work, an act which arouses Mark's jealousy and ultimately effects everyone in the family. Directed by Mike Leigh and also featuring Gary Oldman as Colin's skinhead mate Coxy.
