An acrimonious relationship breakdown leads to Fiona McCleod travelling to the Lake District to use her rock climbing skills in an act of protest. There she joins Cuddy and Mott living in a bender and treehouse in an ancient oak wood. When the local pub is threatened with closure she is forced to choose between protest and helping the locals take control of their lives.
