He imaginado tres niveles de la creacion poetica, "tres poetas": El
buen poeta, el gran poeta,y un "poeta hipotetico extraordinario".
Pero con el contraste producido, la imagen del gran poeta
posmoderno, que es el unico nivel de la creacion que nos interesa.
Por eso, es la imagen de este, la unica que nos atane describir, en
sus mayores detalles. Contrapongo pues, a la figura debil del buen
poeta y a la entidad trascendente del "poeta hipotetico
extraordinario", la imagen fuerte, real y exaltada del gran poeta
posmoderno. Este poeta, primordialmente, se ocupara de crear
ficciones, sera capaz de crear su propio paraiso. Sabe que no hay
ningun paraiso que recobrar, porque aparte del que lleva dentro de
si, nunca existio otro. Es consciente de que al morir, el "paraiso"
de su creacion, debido a que el le dio una descripcion, sera una
existencia real, pero solo los tontos creeran que existe en un
lugar del mundo, y se dedicaran a buscarlo. Por lo demas, el se ira
tranquilo con su conciencia.
Esta obra fue escrita en griego por Plutarco en el siglo I y
traducida del latin al castellano por Diego de Astudillo ca 1530.
Para la presente edicion hemos tomado como base la edicion de 1779
de dicha traduccion (Benito Monfort, Valencia), adaptando al
castellano actual los terminos de uso mas comun. El libro contiene
el dialogo de Plutarco en el cual se trata como se ha de refrenar
la ira y una carta que escribe Plutarco a Poliano y a Euridice, su
mujer, ensenandoles como se han de comportar en el matrimonio.
