R4,002 Discovery Miles 40 020 Ships in 12 - 17 working days

In the constant battle between human intelligence and machine intelligence, machines are close to surpassing human intelligence. The unrestrained use of digital technologies in automating processes is one of the prime advantages of the third industrial revolution. As a result, all developed and developing nations have started to digitalize mundane tasks. Thus, digital technologies for information and communication technologies (ICT) have achieved high market space in terms of infrastructure building, employment generation, education sector reforms, funds mobilization, electronic governance, hardware manufacturing, software development, etc. Hence, it is evident that every segment of society has been penetrated by ICT or digitalization. This book attempts to spotlight areas where AI is thriving. FEATURES Impact of digitalization and AI on governance Novel AI practices being followed across the global community in security, healthcare, crime prevention and detection, education, agriculture, sensor networks, etc. Innovative techniques that can be adopted to ensure better quality and better delivery of services to the society Avenues for further research by the research community and student fraternity This book is a guide for university students (especially those from technical backgrounds), industries, NGOs, and policy makers.

In the current era, e-Governance has emerged as a most prominent tool for strengthening democracy. Therefore, in the year 2006, the Government of India launched National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) which encompasses thirty-one Mission Mode Projects to automate high priority tasks associated with rural and urban areas of the country. However, the government is spending an enormous amount of funds in deployment of e-Governance; still, the success ratio of e-Governance projects in India is not overwhelming. The fourteen chapters within this fascinating compendium act as precious gems, reflecting light on diversified aspects of the intents converged towards e-Governance in India via evolution, implementation challenges, impact on societal issues, development of novel frameworks, involved legal issues and prospects. This book is an attempt to investigate the dominating aspects of conquering the objectives of e-Governance. Moreover, it will also encompass plausible, reengineered, conceptual frameworks which have not been discovered heretofore in order to combat with dominating obstacles. Additionally, it will contain a compendium of knowledge about the future of e-Governance in the Indian context. The major highlights of this book are given as followed: 1. Depiction of the current scenario of e-Governance in India from an international perspective; 2. Identification of aspects of the successful implementation of e-Governance; 3. Reengineering of existing methodologies in order to rejuvenate the existing scenario; 4. Major prospects of e-Governance in India; 5. Legal issues involved in e-Governance; 6. Cloud computing is get popular and widespread over the world. So many people are using it and so many are showing interest to use it. But there is a big part of population is still hesitating to join cloud computing the reason of this is security issues. There are so many data security issues in cloud computing. Cloud is providing the Data storage as a Service to user. But user is worrying to store their data on cloud because of user don't know where is all data storing and who is assessing it? Problem is that which way is need to follow to keep the data on server. This research will help to understand that which way of data storing is well for user from multi location, in border area, in particular distance etc.

Tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis is rampant in human and animals; it has been classified as reemerging disease as it is being reported with increasing frequency in human particularly from developing countries. Early diagnosis of the disease by using sensitive, specific, rapid & cost effective diagnostic procedure is of utmost importance for effective control. Although several modern methods like BACTEC, ATP Bioluminescent, Biological Oxygen uptake assay, MGIT, r-RNA viability etc. are available for clinical use. These techniques are rapid, radioactive (BACTEC), sensitive, specified but require heavy financial commitment and their high cost limit practical applicability. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the Alamar Blue assay which is a simple & less costly technique as a diagnostic tool for tuberculosis. Increasing reports of tuberculosis in man and animals suggest development of multi-drug resistance in M. tuberculosis. Therefore, use of antibiotics on the basis of in-vitro drug sensitivity testing seems rational and justified.

The transmission electron microscope, commonly referred to as a TEM, is more powerful than the traditional light microscope. Transmission electron microscopes allow the user to see the fine details of the specimens which are normally not seen in microscopes of a lower power. The invention of the transmission electron microscope (TEM) enabled scientists to view living material in a way that was previously impossible. Bacteria and other living matter could now be examined on the cellular level through their magnetic structures, allowing scientists to view formation of DNA chains and crystalline structures to determine if certain cells are forming properly or are "misaligned." TEM technology has become a useful diagnostic tool for disease and infection, allowing doctors to identify healthy tissue from damaged areas, and allowing pharmaceutical companies to develop affective treatments to defeat disease-causing bacteria.
