studies from each South Asian country. 3) Part of Migrations in
South Asia series, this book will be of interest to departments of

The book outlines a pathway to the development of fusion of
electromagnetic resonance and artificial intelligence which will
dominate the world of communication engineering. Electromagnetic
resonance is fundamental to all biomaterials. The authors explore
the peculiarities of this typical resonance behaviour in the
literatures and provide the key points where the research should
direct. Biological antennas are inspiring designing of several
electromagnetic devices. From biomimetic engineering to humanoid
bots a revolution is undergoing. Authors include entire development
in the form of a book along with their contribution to this field.
The present study highlights the dependency of local people on
natural resources of Jhilmil Jheel conservation reserve in
Uttarakhand State, India. People of Tantwala village depend on
natural resources like fuel wood, timber, fodder, fruits, medicinal
herbs, honey, fish, aonla, etc.During the study of dependency of
local community of Jhilmil Jheel, three aspects are take in to
account: first, stakeholders at the wetland level belonging to one
of a number of nonexclusive groups such as a. The livestock owner
or herder has the all year round and dry session grazing in
wetland. b. The wetland cultivator are of two types one of them is
cash crops and second is subsistence purpose. In some case, third
type is perennial. a. The water collectors are the human
consumption, livestock consumption, drinking and sanitation. b. The
reed provides thatch for domestic and ceremonial purposes. c. Minor
plant are collected for the health, veterinary and domestic
purposes. Second, socioeconomic conditions of people living around
Jhilmil Jheel are poor, no opportunities for income generation and
work mainly as farmers and labours.
Our work is aimed at developing a fault tolerance policy for
embedded mobile devices where we can determine suitability of a
fault tolerance mechanism for the application with respect to the
needs of user and available resources. More precisely, we are
developing methods to define requirements of applications and
services offered by a particular fault tolerance mechanism. This
helps us in finding compatibility between applications and
mechanisms at any given time, and allows us to choose the most
suitable mechanism. Another part of out thesis has been to develop
two distributed coordinated checkpointing algorithms. The practical
implementation of our work has been done on WTK 2.0 with J2ME-MIDP.
We have done an implementation of our work with our checkpointing
mechanisms and game application. We have also shown how to profile
applications and mechanisms to integrate in our work.
