Transforming Lives through God's words, the Holy Bible, and
Scriptures, " DANGEROUS CROSSING" ... is a consideration of the
essence of sin with a garden of Eden experience. Yet it reveals the
significance that unsaved sinners will pay for their sin with
eternal separation from God and that they can escape that death
through the gift of eternal life that Jesus Christ provides.
Your spiritual journey begins with a fanatical desire for God
and guides you through personal crossroads of Romans 6:23. This
well-known Bible verse gives us insight on how we should LOOK,
LISTEN, and LIVE Every time you sin, I want you to repeat to
yourself "the wages of sin is death "
I trust after you finished reading "DANGEROUS CROSSING LOOK,
LISTEN, AND LIVE, " my words to you have been cheering and
reassuring. I have been made glad and blessed, so I feel sure of
you that my joy through Jesus Christ may be the joy of you
also.

How do the ethical implications of writing theatrical histories
complicate the historiographical imperative in our current
sociopolitical context? This volume investigates a historiography
whose function is to be a mode of thinking and exposes the inner
contradictions in social and ideological organizations of
historical subjects.

This book contains the proceedings of a symposium held at the
College of Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina, USA, 16-20 June
1986. The seed for this symposium arose from a group of
physiologists, soil scientists and biochemists that met in
Leningrad, USSR in July 1975 at the 12th Botanical Conference in a
Session organized by Professor B. B * Vartepetian. This group and
others later conspired to contribute to a book entitled Plant Life
in Anaerobic Environments (eds. D.D. Hook and R.M.M. Crawford, Ann
Arbor Science, 1978). Several contributors to the book suggested in
1983 that a broad-scoped symposium on wetlands would be useful (a)
in facilitating communication among the diverse research groups
involved in wetlands research (b) in bringing researchers and
managers together and (c) in presenting a com-: prehensive and
balanced coverage on the status of ecology and management of
wetlands from a global perspective. With this encouragement, the
senior editor organized a Plan ning Committee that encompassed
expertise from many disciplines of wetland scientists and managers.
This Committee, with input from their colleagues around the world,
organized a symposium that addressed almost every aspect of wetland
ecology and management.
Numerical simulation and modelling of electric circuits and
semiconductor devices are of primal interest in today's high
technology industries. At the Oberwolfach Conference more than
forty scientists from around the world, in cluding applied
mathematicians and electrical engineers from industry and
universities, presented new results in this area of growing
importance. The contributions to this conference are presented in
these proceedings. They include contributions on special topics of
current interest in circuit and device simulation, as well as
contributions that present an overview of the field. In the
semiconductor area special lectures were given on mixed finite
element methods and iterative procedures for the solution of large
linear systems. For three dimensional models new discretization
procedures including software packages were presented. Con nections
between semiconductor equations and the Boltzmann equation were
shown as well as relations to the quantum transport equation. Other
issues discussed in this area include the design of simulation
programs for semiconductors, vectorcomputers, and interface
problems in several dimensions. Topics discussed in the area of
circuit simulation include the index classification of
differential-algebraic systems, connections with ill-posed
problems, and regularization techniques. Split discretization
procedures were given for the efficient calculation of periodic
solutions of circuits taking into acount the latency. Homotopy
methods and new numerical techniques for differential-algebraic
systems were presented, and im provements of special numerical
methods for standard software packages were sug gested. The editors

Prescription drug abuse is a serious and growing public health
problem. According to the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, drug overdoses, including those from prescription
drugs, are the second leading cause of deaths from unintentional
injuries in the U.S., exceeded only by motor vehicle fatalities.
Unlike addiction to heroin and other drugs that have no accepted
medical use, addiction to some controlled substances can be
unknowingly financed by insurance companies and public programs,
such as Medicare. This book examines the prescription drug abuse
problem in the U.S., along with doctor shopping and the role of
Medicaid in this health care crisis.

White Supremacy pervades American history. Moreover,
notwithstanding landmark civil rights gains and egalitarian
aspirations, America remains segregated and unequal. This book
examines the role of law in reinforcing and ameliorating racial
injustice. Although surveying key historical precedents, its
primary focus is the present. The book examines contemporary
controversies across a variety of settings, animated by three
fundamental questions: What is the current racial order? To what
extent is it unjust? How can law and legal actors advance a more
racially just order? The book uses cases, statutes and other
sources of law, supplemented by problems and exercises, to equip
students to both critique and construct pragmatic solutions to
race-related controversies.

"Melodies of My Life" shares a no-holds-barred coming of age
portrait of a young woman who refuses to let a chronic and
debilitating illness define who she is or what she can achieve. At
thirty-one, author Denedria Banks wears many hats-from daughter to
sister to friend; from public speaker to single, fun-loving,
independent Black woman; and from medical social worker to woman
with a disability.
Each chapter samples the complex chords, harmonies, and
disharmonies of her life's passions. Banks explores various stages
that impacted her search for self, including self-love and
happiness. She ultimately discovers the true love that comes from
putting yourself first, loving your every imperfection, and
literally taking each day one step at a time.
In her own words, Denedria provides a rare glimpse into living
with a debilitating disease. Doctors, nurses, physical and
occupational therapists, students, people with disabilities and
their loved ones, and those interested in the human condition will
appreciate the journey of this young woman's life-its darkest hours
and brightest successes.
