Classic comedy from director Howard Hawks. Newspaper editor Walter Burns (Cary Grant) is devastated when his star reporter Hildy Johnson (Rosalind Russell) reveals she is leaving journalism behind to marry her new beau Bruce (Ralph Bellamy). As Hildy, who also happens to be Walter's ex-wife, prepares herself for her new life as a kept woman, Walter does everything he can to get her to change her mind, including offering her the chance to write the story of a lifetime. The cast also includes Gene Lockhart, Ernest Truex and Clarence Kolb.
Lonely businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) hires L.A. prostitute Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) to give him directions when he gets lost, and later to be his escort while he goes wheeling and dealing for a week. He buys her clothes, she softens his heart and the unlikely couple fall head over heels in love.
Errol Flynn and Fred MacMurray star in this wartime aviation drama about the research trials which attempted to eliminate the dangerous phenomenon of pilot-blackout. The film, directed by Michael Curtiz ('Casablanca', 'Mildred Pierce'), was nominated for an Oscar for its camera work.

Three classic films from acclaimed director, Roman Polanski. In 'Rosemary's Baby' (1968), Mia Farrow stars as Rosemary, a young wife whose husband (John Cassavetes), an actor, falls in with a group of Satanists. When Rosemary becomes pregnant, she begins to suspect that she may be carrying the child of the Devil. In 'The Tenant' (1976), when Trelkovsky (Polanski) rents a decrepit, barren flat he discovers that the flat's previous occupant, a young girl, had leaped to her death from its window. Intrigued, he begins to obsess about the girl and convinces himself that the other tenants of the building are trying to drive him to self-murder as well. But has Trelkovsky really only inherited the girl's suicidal urges? Finally, in 'Chinatown' (1974), private eye Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson) is hired to follow water commissioner Hollis Mulwray (Darrell Zwerling), only to see him turn up dead at the bottom of a reservoir. Realising he has been used, Gittes confronts Mulwray's widow Evelyn (Faye Dunway), a woman who seems to have plenty of secrets of her own, not least her ambiguous relationship with her father Noah Cross (John Huston).
