James Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica but his peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help.

The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

On ilfiltrating a top secret meeting, Bond discovers the existance of the global crime organisation SPECTRE and sets about trying to expose them and ultimately bring them down. The cast also includes Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz and Ben Whishaw.

A triple bill of Hannibal Lecter films. 'Red Dragon' (2002) is Hannibal Lecter's (Anthony Hopkins) third film outing but is based on the first Thomas Harris novel which introduced the character. FBI agent Will Graham (Edward Norton) has retired with his family to Florida after a near-death experience when he tracked down and captured Lecter. However, when a new serial killer, 'the tooth fairy' who kills whole families, is discovered, Graham finds himself back on the force and asking for Lecter's help. But the tooth fairy has been writing to Lecter and Lecter cannot resist playing each side off each other, to such an extent that Graham's family are to be the next victims. In 'The Silence of the Lambs' (1990) FBI officer Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is investigating a bizarre and gruesome series of murders, carried out by 'Buffalo Bill'. The investigation steps up a gear when the mayor's daughter is abducted. Starling turns for help to incarcerated psychopath Lecter (Hopkins), who has a penchant for chewing people's faces off. Given special privileges in exchange for information, Lecter escapes, leaving two twisted killers on the loose. Whilst in 'Hannibal' (2001) it is ten years since the events of the previous film and FBI agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore), recently in trouble with her superiors over a bungled shoot-out, suddenly receives a letter from the escaped Hannibal. It does not reveal his whereabouts, but after many years of inactivity, it does announce his interest in returning to the public domain. Clarice has the letter analysed and begins scanning the internet, desperately searching for any clues which will help her reach him before he strikes again. Meanwhile, one of Hannibal's previous victims, the horribly disfigured multi-millionaire Mason Verger, is also on the trail of his tormentor, eager for revenge and the chance to introduce the good doctor to his herd of specially-cultivated carnivorous pigs.

Drama starring Ralph Fiennes and Kate Winslet (in a BAFTA, Golden Globe and Oscar-winning performance), based on the novel by Bernard Schlink. Set in post World War II Germany, the story revolves around a teenage boy Michael Berg (David Kross) who falls ill with scarlet fever and is helped home by Hanna (Winslet), a stranger twice his age. When Michael recovers, he tracks Hanna down in order to thank her for her kindness. Despite their age difference, the two embark on an intense and secret affair that is based largely on Michael reading aloud to Hanna, until Hanna suddenly and mysteriously disappears one day, leaving Michael confused and heartbroken. Several years later, when Michael (Fiennes) is a law student observing the Nazi war crime trials, he comes across Hanna again - this time as a defendant in the courtroom. As Hanna's past is revealed, Michael uncovers a secret that profoundly affects both their lives.

Sam Mendes directs this James Bond adventure. Daniel Craig stars as Bond, whose loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her, and Bond's own doubts about his life and livelihood start to creep in. As MI6 comes under attack and Bond is sent to Shanghai to investigate, he must keep his focus on tracking down and destroying the threat - no matter how high the personal cost. Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem and Albert Finney co-star. Adele and Paul Epworth won an Academy Award and Golden Globe for their song 'Skyfall' and the film also received BAFTAs for Outstanding British Film and Original Film Music (Thomas Newman).

Double bill of magical children's films written by and starring Emma Thompson. In 'Nanny McPhee' (2005), Cedric Brown (Colin Firth) has recently lost his wife and is faced with the prospect of trying to raise his seven unruly children on his own. With the wild children too much for most nannies, all of whom have quickly left his service, Cedric is one day commanded by a mysterious voice to hire the witch-like Nanny McPhee (Thompson), who uses her magical powers to keep the children in line. Thompson reprises her role as the mysterious nanny with unsettling facial features in the 2010 sequel, 'Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang'. This time round, Nanny McPhee offers her invaluable services to harried young mother Mrs Green (Maggie Gyllenhaal), who is struggling to run the family farm while her husband is away at war. Utilising her dazzling repertoire of magical props and unconventional methods, Nanny McPhee teaches the Green children and their spoiled city cousins five life lessons they will never forget.

Playwright Martin McDonagh makes an impressive feature film debut as the writer and director of this tragicomedy that is as rich, dark, and complex as Belgian chocolate. The story unfolds over the course of a few days, as Irish hitmen Ken (the appealingly bear-like Brendon Gleeson, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN) and Ray (Colin Farrell, MIAMI VICE, in a loose and sympathetic performance) are ordered to lay low in the tourist-laden town of Bruges, Belgium, after a bungled shooting. Their only directive is to stay grounded and wait for further orders from crime boss Harry (Ralph Fiennes, THE CONSTANT GARDENER, gleefully playing evil), but both underlings--nervous and delightfully talky--chafe with the waiting.

The childlike Ray is inconsolably agitated and withdrawn, and after a time we learn that his restlessness is borne of something deeper and more disturbing than mere ADD. The more paternal and patient of the duo, Ken, takes the opportunity to enjoy Bruges's lush, buttressed beauty, but he, too, undergoes some soul-searching by the movie's end. The plot snakes cleverly (and at times touchingly) around flashbacks of the murder as the garrulous killers philosophise and interact with locals and tourists, including an acerbic American dwarf, the owner of the B and B, Dutch prostitutes, and a local enchantress. McDonagh's absurdist black humour asserts itself as hilarious dialogue and dreamlike visuals (supported by Carter Burwell's unsettling score) that shift seamlessly from sweet to grotesque, like a Grimm's fairytale come to the big screen.

McDonagh's command of the film medium, which he first demonstrated with the Oscar-winning short film SIX SHOOTER, puts to rest any reservations about playwrights-turned-directors. Viewers will enjoy the crackling banter, vibrant performances, and beautiful scenery.

Michael discovers that Hanna loves being read to and their physical relationship deepens. Hanna is enthralled as Michael reads to her from The Odyssey, Huck Finn and The Lady with the Little Dog. Despite their intense bond, Hanna mysteriously disappears one day and Michael is left confused and heartbroken.

Twelve years later, Michael sees Hanna again, but in the last place he ever expected to find her. As Hanna's past is revealed, Michael uncovers a deep secret that will impact both of their lives.
