It's 2040, and the Earth is experiencing an apocalypse caused by
global warming. After the intensifying of the worldwide drought
from 2020 to 2025, and the plague of a mutated Ebola virus, few
people are left. When the world economy collapsed in 2026, people
organized themselves into agricultural cooperatives to produce
food, usually with irrigation utilizing mined water. The Cajun COOP
is running out of water and the warming climate will soon make it
impossible for them to continue to grow crops. Colonel Frank
Thibideaux, head of security for the Cajun COOP, is sent on a
mission to contact other COOP's and to travel to Canada, one of the
few remaining nations, to see if the people of the COOP can move
there. A previous expedition disappeared. Frank sets out on the
dangerous journey to Canada with a military column of discovery, a
futuristic wagon train of sorts. Frank is on his own journey, a
journey to find redemption, but he does not know it. The column is
manned by 100 hand picked technicians and fighting people. They
overcome many obstacles in the journey, encountering bandits,
strange religious cults, and zombie like people, etc., having to
fight their way through some areas. The survivors finally arrive in
Canada, but learn shocking news when they get there.
In the near future, climate change caused by man made environmental
factors threatens to make the Earth a lifeless desert planet. John
and Larry, boyhood friends, wealthy entrepreneurs, and amateur
radio enthusiasts, find an ancient pagoda they believe is actually
an antenna that can be used to contact aliens. They make contact,
although not in the way they had envisioned, and find out Earth is
within the boundaries of an organization of planets called the
Confederation Galactica. Within the Confederation are two opposing
groups, one of which wants to save the Earth and one of which wants
to let it become a hot desert planet. The aliens from the
Confederation who want to save the earth from catastrophic climate
change appear to be altruistic and idealistic and offer to help the
humans. John and Larry join them and save the earth, but are the
aliens all that they seem to be? They find there is a horrific
price to pay for cooperation.
In 2034 the Earth is suffocating from heat caused by climate
change. Ray Jacobs, a highly trained and experienced
environmentalist, dies, but is reincarnated just as he was in 1964
at age 24. This is when he made a decision that was irreversibly
regretful. Until now. He has a chance to live a different life now.
He moves to L.A. to take a job with the Water Department. He meets
an Astrologer and her two daughters. Her clients are a who's who of
Hollywood, and she has made a fortune doing horoscopes for them.
She realizes that he is different and takes him in. Ray helps her
calculate horoscopes. He then begins to understand he has been put
into this new time as his former self to perform a heroic act. Ray
realizes he needs to save the Earth from dying because of Climate
change. While the mysterious Red people try to stop them - he and
the Astrologer, along with an ethereal woman who calls herself
Brigantia, find an unusual way to try and save the Earth.
