The modern sense of "Greater Khorasan" today corresponds to a
territory which not only comprises the region in the east of Iran
but also, beyond Iranian frontiers, a part of Afghanistan and
Turkmenistan. In the past this entity was simply defined as
Khorasan. In the Sassanidera Khorasan defined the "Eastern lands".
In the Islamic era this term was again taken up in the same sense
it previously enjoyed. The Arab sources of the first centuries all
mention the eastern regions under the same toponym, Khorasan.
Khorasan was the gateway used by Alexander the Great to go into
Bactria and India and, inversely, that through which the Seljuks
and Mongols entered Iran. In a diachronic context Khorasan was a
transit zone, a passage, a crossroads, which, above all in the
medieval period, saw the creation of different commercial routes
leading to the north, towards India, to the west and into China. In
this framework, archaeological researches will be the guiding
principle which will help us to take stock of a material culture
which, as its history, is very diversified. They also offer
valuable elements on commercial links between the principal towns
of Khorasan. This book will provide the opportunity to better know
the most recent elements of the principal constitutive sites of
this geographical and political entity.

Collab between Z2 and Halestorm to bring to life the art and
narrative of Hyde Manor. Join us in the descent of one woman's
fight with her darkest self! This Halloween, Z2 Comics and
Grammy-winning rock band Halestorm will transform the group’s
barbed riffs and evocative narratives into sequential art for Hyde
Manor, a harrowing descent into one woman’s fight with the
darkest parts of herself. Twins Brittany and Brianna Winner (the
Twin Soul series), artist Sara Scalia, and colorist DJ Alonso weave
a tale of the celebrated group as they seek refuge in the titular
Hyde Manor—a sprawling gothic estate perched on the remote end of
the Oregon Coast. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 2012 EP
Hello, It’s Mz Hyde and its ensuing LP, The Strange Case Of…,
the Hyde Manor graphic novel depicts the members of Halestorm
encountering sinister doppelgangers of themselves. Within the
decrepit halls of Hyde Manor, mirror reflections independently talk
back and photographs transform to reveal sordid prophecies, leading
the band to slowly succumb to madness while recording a new album.
The tale creaks and twists with doom-filled revelations, perfectly
tied to Halestorm’s scorching discography.

Many Americans have no idea how badly our largest, Democrat-run
cities have deteriorated. We've been complacent for far too long,
assuming that the craziest elements of the radical Left would stay
confined to the East and West coasts. But crime, drug addiction,
homelessness, left-wing school indoctrination, so-called inclusive
housing policies, and outrageous taxes don't stay within the big
city limits of places like Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, New
York, Seattle, and San Francisco. The effects of ideologically
driven left-wing policies always spread, which should alarm
Americans regardless of their political leanings. Jason Rantz is a
prominent radio host, a trusted journalist, and a frequent Fox News
guest unafraid to go directly into the action. He's grown a
national following by breaking news the mainstream media won't,
covering the consequences of destructive leftist policies wherever
they occur. He was right there for the chaos in his hometown of
Seattle when liberal anarchists declared an autonomous, police-free
"CHOP Zone." He infiltrates the Antifa marches and knows firsthand
how those radicals operate. This is the shocking story of what he's
learned. Employing on-the-ground reporting and fact-based analysis,
Rantz zooms out to conduct a fascinating detailed, data-driven
study of how these liberal policies result in chaos, misery, and
(too often) bloodshed. He skillfully recounts the tragic events
with a narrative reporter's eye for detail to tell the true story
of what's happening in America's cities.
This delightful children's tale focuses on a javelina and his
humorous and educational encounters in his native desert habitat.
