At home waits Ada Monroe (Nicole Kidman), the pre-war sweetheart to whom he has vowed to return. In his absence Ada, the shy and reserved daughter of a preacher (Donald Sutherland), has befriended the feisty Ruby (Renée Zellweger), a tough-talking young woman who can work the land as well as any man. Ruby supports Ada both emotionally and practically as she waits for Inman's return - but as the war drags on and her letters go unanswered, Ada finds it increasingly difficult to keep the faith.

To save his younger brother from the gallows, he must track down and kill his violent older brother Arthur (Danny Huston). In a harsh and oppressive environment, Charlie is forced to choose between loyalty and revenge, while Stanley tries to impose his own brutal codes of law and order, and shield his innocent young wife (Emily Watson) from the consequences.

Whilst in the second season, the likeable Geordies along with boring Barry from Wolverhampton and Londoner Wayne, find themselves in the exotic location of Marbella, following the success of their trip to Germany.

Andy Serkis stars as British singer-songwriter Ian Dury, who contracted polio at the age of ten but defied all expectations by overcoming the debilitating effects of the disease and going on to become one of the founders of the new wave scene in Britain in the 1970s. The film tracks his ongoing battle with the disease and the effects of fame on his personal relationships.
Biblical epic directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins. The film tells the story of Noah (Crowe), the last of the pre-flood Patriarchs. Considered a madman by many, Noah has visions of an apocalyptic flood that will wash over the earth and wipe out the sinful from existence. Instructed by these visions to build a vessel that will enable Noah, his family and two of every living creature to live through the deluge and begin the planet's repopulation, he begins construction on an ark. However, his project attracts the attention of his nemesis Tubal-cain (Ray Winstone) and his followers who threaten Noah's family and the ongoing construction of the vessel. The supporting cast includes Emma Watson, Douglas Booth, Nick Nolte and Frank Langella.
Ray Winstone's amazing talent for bringing out the humanity buried inside his often brutal screen characters - violent offender in Scum, wife-beater in Nil by Mouth, retired blagger in Sexy Beast - has made him one of the most charismatic actors of his generation. But how do these uncompromising and often haunting performances square with his off-duty reputation as the ultimate salt-of-the-earth diamond geezer? The answer lies in the East End of his youth. Revisiting the bomb-sites and boozers of his childhood and adolescence, Ray Winstone takes the reader on an unforgettable tour of a cockney heartland which is at once irresistibly mythic and undeniably real. Told with its author's trademark blend of brutal directness and roguish wit, Young Winstone offers a fascinating insight into the social history of East London, as well as a school of hard knocks coming-of-age story with a powerful emotional punch.
Ray Winstone brings history's most beguiling monarch to life in this story of Henry VIII revealing the destruction Henry often left in his wake during his extraordinary 38 year reign. From the moment Henry Tudor casts aside his faithful wife Katherine of Aragon for the bewitching and determined Anne Boleyn (Helena Bonham-Carter), he sets himself on course for a series of disastrous marriages.

Rango is guided to the nearby town of Dirt by friendly iguana Beans (Isla Fisher), where an act of accidental heroism earns him the respect of the town's residents and sees the Mayor (Ned Beatty) appoint him Sheriff. Top of Rango's priority list in his new position is to find out what is happening with the town's dangerously low water supply. He uncovers a conspiracy that goes right to the heart of the town's power structure; one that will require the intervention of a true hero to overturn. Is Rango up to the task? The movie won the 2012 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
Martin Scorsese makes his first foray into children's cinema with this semi-fantastical drama based on a book by Brian Selznick. Asa Butterfield stars as Hugo, an orphan who lives in the hidden nooks of a train station in 1920s Paris. With the help of his friend, Isabelle (Chloë Moretz), he sets out to solve a mystery left behind by his late father (Jude Law): a curious puzzle involving a heart-shaped key, a cranky toy shop owner (Ben Kingsley) and a broken automaton. Along the way, the tangled lives of the staff and passengers at the station provide numerous colourful detours, and Scorsese pays homage to early pioneers of cinema including the Lumiere brothers and Georges Méliès. The film was nominated for eleven Oscars and won five awards including Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects.
