Nigel is a hedgehog. He's four years old, likes trains, cookies, and is a lot like other kids in class. Nigel is a little different too. Nigel is autistic. He doesn't talk or say many words. Nigel is not very good at taking turns, or being polite and he really does not like to wait. Nigel thought and thought and came up with the Waiting Song... Now he is able to be polite and wait when he sings his Waiting Song! The Waiting Song is for kids like Nigel. Ages 3-7.

The story centers on Sterling, a young pup with his own unique sense of style who has to adapt when a change of plans arises. Sterling is unfailingly polite and likes to say to himself, "I have swag. Yes, I do. I have swag and you can too. Woof " We watch as Sterling carefully chooses his clothes and encounters a problem. Sterling does not despair, as this new situation presents him with yet another opportunity to explore the closet and try on something different. Sterling: The Saint Bernard with Swag shows children the fun of getting dressed and adapting to new situations.
