This outstanding volume in the Essentials in Ophthalmology series presents recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disease. Its intention is not to replace the relevant textbooks, but to serve as a bridge between primary and tertiary literature. The superbly structured volume covers a dizzying array of topics including Herpes simplex keratitis; amniotic membrane transplantation for the treatment of corneal ulceration in infectious keratitis; and Chlamydial infection, all three of which are hugely relevant today. All the topics have direct clinical importance and will not only keep ophthalmologists up to date, but will inform them of how to treat their cornea patients with optimal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Covers all of the medium half-tracked prime movers used by German forces during WWII.
Covers all of the light half-tacked prime movers used by Germany during WWII.
The fifth volume of trucks and cars used by Germany during WWII.
Covers the use and design of the numerous cars used by the Wehrmacht during WWII.
This volume from the Essentials in Ophthalmology series presents recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disease. Its intention is not to replace the relevant textbooks, but to serve as a bridge between the primary and tertiary literature. This well-structured volume covers the following main topics: Confocal microscopy of the cornea.- Treatment of adenoviral corneal opacities.- Conservative treatment of severe surface disorders.- Amniotic membrane transplantation.- Limbal stem cell transplantation.- Techniques in penetrating keratoplasty.- Deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty.- Corneal allograft rejection.- Infective complications following LASIK. All topics have direct clinical importance and will not only keep ophthalmologists up-to-date, but will inform them how to treat their cornea patients with optimal (or best possible) diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
The Sd.Kfz.8 and Sd.Kfz.9 heavy prime movers of the Wehrmacht on a variety of war fronts.
Covers the different types of trucks and cars used by Germany in WWII.
Atomic physics has played a central role in the development of modern physics. Progress was based on newly invented scientific methods and experimental tools and today these techniques are successfully employed in a wide variety of highly active areas in modern research, extending from investigations of most fundamental interactions in physics to experiments related to topics in applied sciences and technical aspects. With steadily increasing importance they are found in areas well outside of classical atomic physics in fields such as nuclear and particle physics, metrology, physics of condensed matter and surfaces, physical chemistry, chemistry, medicine and environmental research. This book gives a thorough survey of the methods and techniques in key experiments of interdisciplinary research.

"Essentials in Ophthalmology" is a new review series covering
all of ophthalmology categorized in eight subspecialties. It will
be published quarterly, thus each subspecialty will be reviewed
biannually.
This book covers the design and types of various trucks employed by the Wehrmacht.
The fourth volume concerning the trucks and cars employed by Germany during WWII.
This book, written by leading clinicians and scientists, focuses on recent clinically relevant advances in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disorders. After an opening chapter considering the latest knowledge on the heredity of keratoconus, important advances in corneal imaging are discussed, in particular the use of optical coherence tomography and in vivo confocal microscopy for evaluation of the normal and the diseased cornea. Antiangiogenic treatment options are then reviewed, and new aspects in the diagnosis and therapy of mycobacterial keratitis explained. Further chapters address the storage of donor cornea for penetrating and lamellar keratoplasty and the keratoplasty in infants. The book closes by discussing new developments in antibacterial chemotherapy for bacterial keratitis.
