Collection of four action adventures featuring the DC Comics superhero.
In 'Batman' (1989) the streets of Gotham City are no longer safe for
criminals, who are being picked off by a masked vigilante in a rubber
suit - dubbed 'Batman' by the press. Reporter Alexander Knox (Robert
Wuhl) teams with photographer Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) in an attempt
to discover Batman's true identity - an investigation which leads them
to the door of mysterious millionaire Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton).
Meanwhile, crime boss Carl Grissom (Jack Palance)'s attempt to rid
himself of untrustworthy henchman Jack Napier (Jack Nicholson) does not
go according to plan, and after emerging physically and mentally
disfigured from a vat of chemicals, Napier reinvents himself as the
psychotic Joker. In 'Batman Returns' (1992), 33 years after being
abandoned as a baby, Oswald Cobblepot (Danny DeVito) returns to Gotham
City, bent on revenge, as the Penguin. He begins a warped campaign to
become mayor of Gotham, helped by millionaire businessman Max Shreck
(Christopher Walken) and undertakes a mission to murder every firstborn
son in the city - a plan which will avenge his own beginnings.
Meanwhile, Batman (Keaton) emerges to stop him, but struggles with his
dual identity after becoming romantically involved with Shreck's former
secretary Selina Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer), who takes up her own secret
identity as Catwoman to get revenge on Shreck. In 'Batman Forever'
(1995) former District Attorney Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent (Tommy Lee
Jones) is terrorising Gotham City when a new villain appears on the
scene - The Riddler (Jim Carrey). Together they plot to take over
Gotham and discover Batman (Val Kilmer)'s identity, using a device
which can probe the human mind.
Meanwhile, the caped crusader is joined in his fight by new sidekick
Robin (Chris O'Donnell), whose trapeze-artist family have recently been
slain by Two-Face. Finally, in 'Batman and Robin' (1997) Batman (George
Clooney) and Robin (O'Donnell) have to stop the vengeful Mr Freeze
(Arnold Schwarzenegger) from taking over Gotham City. To make matters
worse, the venomous Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman) decides to join forces
with Freeze.
Luckily for the caped crusader and his rebellious ward, they team up
with new partner Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone).
Disney's twenty-eighth animated feature is its first fairytale
since 1958's 'Sleeping Beauty'. Ariel (voiced by Jodi Benson) is
the mermaid daughter of King Triton, and lives beneath the waves.
However, Ariel longs to see the world above, especially after
rescuing a handsome prince from drowning. To this end she makes a
deal with sea witch Ursula: Ariel can live above the sea in
exchange for her beautiful singing voice. Ariel soon regrets her
decision, however, when it transpires that her father's kingdom is
at risk.
Another feature-length animated adventure for Scoobs and Shaggy.
This time they realise that there are scarier things than homework
when they become gym teachers at Miss Grimwood's School for Ghouls.
Cripes! And their pupils are none other than the daughters of some
very famous monsters! When the girls are kidnapped by the evil
Revolta, they are rescued in typical Scooby-dooby-doo style.
Fievel and friends are back in this third animated adventure. The
chirpy mouse sets out to help Mr Mouskewitz escape the drudgery of
the Fat Rats' factory, setting out with Tony and Tiger the pussycat
to find their fortune with a magical treasure map.

Alex Cox's story of William Walker (Ed Harris), an American soldier
of fortune, whose Latin American escapades in the mid 1800s
continue to have ripple effects in US policy today. When his wife
dies, Walker decides to leave a promising career in politics behind
and, backed by banking magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt, travels to
Nicaragua to make it safe for Vanderbilt's steamships. However,
once there, Walker sets himself up as Nicaragua's president; until
the nation decides they no longer want to be ruled by a mad
'gringo'.
Loosely based on the seminal 'Gonzo' writings of Hunter S.
Thompson, this comedy stars Bill Murray as the renegade,
drug-crazed, drunken journalist 'Dr' Hunter Thompson, who decides
to cover the Super Bowl and the 1972 Presidential Election,
accompanied by his reprobate lawyer Carl Lazlo (Peter Boyle), in
his own inimitable style.
Triple bill featuring the original 1989 film along with the 2000
sequel and 2008 prequel. In 'The Little Mermaid' (1989), Ariel
(voice of Jodi Benson) is the mermaid daughter of King Triton
(voice of Kenneth Mars), and lives beneath the waves. However,
Ariel longs to see the world above, especially after rescuing a
handsome prince from drowning. To this end she makes a deal with
sea witch Ursula (voice of Pat Carroll) to live above the sea in
exchange for her beautiful singing voice. Ariel soon regrets her
decision, however, when it transpires that her father's kingdom is
at risk. In 'The Little Mermaid II - Return to the Sea' (2000),
Ariel (voice of Benson) and Eric (voice of Rob Paulsen) have had a
baby daughter, Melody (voice of Tara Strong), but the threat of
reprisal from Ursula's sister Morgana (voice of Carroll) means that
they must keep the girl in the dark about her mermaid heritage.
However, to be a mermaid is what Melody wants most and her dreams
of the sea soon find her playing into the evil Morgana's hands. To
set things right, Ariel must team up with her old chums Sebastian
(voice of Samuel E. Wright), Flounder (Cam Clarke) and Scuttle
(voice of Buddy Hackett) and embark upon a daring rescue mission.
Finally, in 'The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Beginning' (2008), Ariel
(voice of Benson) finds herself torn between her love of music and
her family duty. With the help of her friends, Sebastian (voice of
Wright) and Flounder (voice of Parker Goris), and her six sisters,
Ariel sets about to try and restore music, friendship and love to
the Kingdom of Atlantica.
