Das Corona-Virus bestimmt seit mehr als zwei Jahren das Leben in Deutschland. Solange Politik und Gesellschaft auf Bundes-, Landes- und Kommunalebene kooperativ, subsidiar und selbstverantwortlich gehandelt haben, war die Coronapolitik am effektivsten und die Eingriffstiefe staatlicher Massnahmen am geringsten. Doch Politik und Gesellschaft haben sich zu oft in sich selbst verheddert, zu oft gegenseitig blockiert und die Verantwortung gegenseitig zugeschoben. Am Ende des Tages ist die Bilanz vor allem deswegen ernuchternd, weil wir die Vorteile unserer Gesellschaftsordnung - Demokratie, Foederalismus und Selbstbestimmung - fur das Krisenmanagement zu wenig in Wert gesetzt haben. Diferente de outros estados da regiao Nordeste brasileira, o turismo no estado do Piaui encontra-se em fase inicial de desenvolvimento, pois os fluxos turisticos nacionais e internacionais sao pouco observados. Os principais atrativos turisticos do estado sao o Parque Nacional da Serra da Capivara (no sul do Piaui), o Parque Nacional de Sete Cidades (na porcao centro-norte do estado), o Delta do Parnaiba (no litoral do estado) e a capital Teresina, nas modalidades de turismo de eventos e negocios e o turismo de saude. Ao longo dos 350 quilometros da BR 343 que separa Teresina do litoral piauiense existem outras localidades de interesse para o turismo, tais como Campo Maior, Castelo do Piaui, Piripiri e Pedro II. Esses destinos, contudo, ainda sao pouco visitados pelos usuarios da rodovia. Dessa forma, a obra tem por objetivo geral identificar e analisar os fatores condicionantes a existencia de um corredor turistico e sua importancia como fator de desenvolvimento sustentavel para uma regiao, tendo como enfoque a analise do trecho da BR 343, entre Teresina e o litoral do Piaui."
