Richard Mervyn narrates this three-volume documentary set about the history of Britain, featuring a number of aerial shots. 'Building Britain' examines the history of British architecture. Among other buildings, the programme features Roman villas, medieval manors and 20th century tower blocks and also discusses the work of Sir Christopher Wren, Sir John Vanbrugh, Robert Adam, Inigo Jones and William Morris. Finally, 'Spiritual Britain' looks at religious practices in Britain through the ages and investigates sites of worship from stone circles to cathedrals.
