In the year 2506, little Jarod Anderson's world-worlds-were full of wonder and excitement. Until the aliens came. They came, and in one clean sweep, they killed twenty-one million human beings, including Jarod's family. Now, twenty-four years later, Jarod returns to the red planet as the leader of the best, most elite fighting force ever known to man. Jarod and his team have come to save mankind from extinction and avenge their families at the same time. The catch? After planting the bomb that would kill all life on the planet, they must cross half of Mars underground through unknown caverns and tunnels to their rescue ship waiting on the other side. They are battling to stay alive to reach their ride home. Or die like everything else on the surface of the planet.
Jeri Kirkland built and used an andriod she named 'LEX', to help save mankind from extinction through an alien invasion. The mission had been a success. But Lex, the android, had malfunctioned and almost caused Dr. Kirkland's death. Jarod Anderson, Jeri Kirkland's husband, had led this team of soldiers. And during their mission, they had to destroy the android. Or so they thought.... Now, Lex was back. And he was angry. Very angry. And in those eight years the android had spent on the planet Mars, it had developed inexplainable powers. And now he was free. Now... he would get his revenge. His revenge on mankind.....
Bailouts, spending increases and a re-engineered health care system are just a few ways Washington politicians have launched a major expansion of the federal government in response to our recent economic turmoil. Texas Governor Rick Perry argues that the almost daily federal expansion we are witnessing is a dangerous, unconstitutional intrusion on states' rights and individual liberties. Perry shows how an increasing concentration of power in Washington will lead to further unsustainable debt, greater limits on opportunity and success and a permanent dependency class - adding up to a completely failed nation and one of the very sort that the Colonists fought against. He examines the wisdom of local control and speaks up for the protection of the 10th Amendment principles that place power in the hands of the people. Perry issues a persuasive rallying cry for Americans to rise up and demand that power be returned to the people and the states - and he revives the call for freedom and opportunity in the glorious absence of government intrusion.
Ray Perry was a farm boy from rural West Texas when America entered World War II. He always had a fascination with planes, so he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps with the intention of becoming a pilot. The Army Air Corps needed tail gunners, however, so Ray served his country at the back end of a B-17, completing thirty-five combat missions before the war's end. This is the story of his World War II adventure, wrought with tragedy and excitement and every emotion in between. This is also the story of how a young man from a small West Texas town handled the upheaval that comes with war. Based off numerous primary source materials, Ray's story unfolds through his letters, photos, and mementos. The book's foreword is written by his son, and former Texas governor, Rick Perry. "I never was rattled . . . . I could never remember really being scared. I know I was. Had to be. But I had control of it." "The pilot sent the radio operator back there to see if they got me . . . and he climbed, crawled, right there beside the side of that tail wheel, and he never did get back all the way where I was at, but he . . . saw me sitting up and he saw me move a little. So, he went back and told the pilot, "I guess he's alright. I think he's still alive." - Ray Perry, from the book
