Some fifteen years ago, Rob first started telling stories to his
older sons, Robert and Matthew, at bedtime rather than reading
books. His sons would provide the characters and he would spin a
story based on those characters. Over the years, he would do the
same with his nieces, nephews and, most recently, his youngest son
Boyd. There are few things more enjoyable than trying to do an
impromptu story about a combination things like a squirrel, ghost
and a race car. Rob was inspired to put words to print for the
first time to honor a friend's son, Nicholas. Nick left us at the
age of seven, but the memory of him lives on in those who knew him.
For Nick, here is a story about pickles and an eagle's nest.
