A Modern Master Robert E. McGinnis began his career in 1947 as a
cartoonist, and produced his first cover illustrations for 1956
issues of the magazines True Detective and Master Detective. Then
in 1958, he painted his first paperback book cover, and from that
day forward his work was in demand. The emergence of the "McGinnis
Woman" - long-legged, intelligent, alluring, and enigmatic -
established him as the go-to artist for detective novels. His work
appeared on Mike Shayne titles and the Perry Mason series, and he
produced 100 paintings for the Carter Brown adventures. Yet
McGinnis became famous for his work in other genres as well:
espionage, romance, historicals, gothics, and Westerns. McGinnis's
first major magazine assignments were for The Saturday Evening
Post, and his work has graced the pages of Cosmopolitan, National
Geographic, Good Housekeeping, Guideposts, and others. McGinnis
women frequently cropped up in the men's magazines of the '60s and
'70s. His first movie poster was for Breakfast at Tiffany's, with
an iconic rendering of Audrey Hepburn. Almost instantly, his poster
artwork could be seen everywhere - in theaters, on billboards, in
newspapers, and even on soundtrack albums. His work for Hollywood
became a who's-who, with posters for James Bond, The Odd Couple,
Woody Allen, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, and many more.
Some of his most ambitious works have been his gallery paintings,
often depicting stunning American landscapes, vast Western vistas,
and of course, beautiful women. The Art of Robert E. McGinnis
collection reveals the full scope and beauty of the work of a true
American master - one whose legacy continues today.
A young Indian orphan desires to do more, learn more and become
more than anyone in his tribe. His primary goal is to get an
education not available to him as an orphan living among his peers.
He accomplishes a few remarkable things before he runs away from
the land of his ancestors. He ends up on the east coast of the
United States and begins working but has no desire to keep his
earnings. Through some chance meetings and lucky breaks he begins a
college career that leads him to a PhD and eventually, he becomes a
professor admired by all. His lifetime ambition is sidetracked when
a beautiful, former student tells him that she is and has been in
love with him. I am sure everyone reading this book will be
surprised at the way it ends.
Little Eagle, A.K.A. White Eagle, has been having a marvelous life
and one that is full of friends and adventure. His companions are
both human and animal. His closeness with nature and the spirits in
thought and dreams have influenced his life and are always nearby
to guide and assist him. At the time of this story he is still a
teenager. He has been chosen and he is fulfilling his destiny which
is as varied and versatile as that of anyone in history. He is
called upon over and over to help someone, an animal or a feature
of nature. He is able to draw upon resources that an average person
could never do as he is endowed with special talents as well as a
guiding spirit. His genetic link provides him with a lot of his
power, but this modern day character possesses the enthusiasm to
get it done.
.White Panther's Legacy A young Irish boy, Ailbhe MacGuinness, or
Alvy as he was affectionately known, was destined to one day become
a great spiritual leader and savior of the modern-day Wisnook
tribe. His legacy, contained in this book, would continue on down
the generations to our favorite heroes, Harry Raven and his son,
Little Eagle. Alvy's adventures lead him from his birthplace in old
Ireland to the New World in order to return an enslaved Indian man
to the place of his birth and to reunite him with his tribe and
family. Alvy does not know that he is special and has no idea that
he has been chosen to become the most unusual leader the Wisnook
Indians have ever had. His love of nature and dedication to
outdoorsmanship helps him to become an outstanding and unusual
archer. His power, position and importance grows as he is chosen to
move the floundering Wisnook tribe across the vast lands of the New
World, often facing extreme weather conditions, violent local
Indian tribes and conniving and dangerous French trappers. He
defeats some of his enemies, talks his way past some, and is
assisted by nearly everyone who meets him. He begins to awe the
tribe under his guidance, and his awesome reputation begins to
swell and precede him on his journey across the continent. During
this trip, legend of the White Panther is born when he saves and
protects an albino mountain lion cub that will become synonymous
with his own character. He will become White Panther to all future
Indians of the Wisnook tribe as well as the guiding spirit of a few
chosen leaders.
A schoolteacher by trade, Robert Justice just wanted to get away
for the summer. His plan: to crank up his motorcycle and make his
way across the Great American West. That all changes when
threatening storm clouds over the mountains of Colorado lead to a
chance encounter at a small-town restaurant in a place called Level
Rock. There, Robert meets two young women and affects changes in
both of their lives. The first, Becky, is the owner of the town's
only restaurant whose business has dried up as the town's
population has died away. The second, Mirakeem, is a lonely girl
who has lost everything she knew and everyone she loved. Robert
comes across a mysterious old map that seems to have connections to
both young ladies, but just how and what the map really means he
cannot be sure. While investigating Level Rock and the rundown
mining site miles outside of town, Robert is aided by a mysterious
young Indian boy, Little Eagle. Mysteries abound and Robert must
use all his wits to uncover the answers. This is the first book in
a second series titled The Little Eagle Series. The books in this
series are: Indian Summer, Christmas With Little Eagle, Little
Eagle Saves a Spy, The Golden Cross, White Panther's Legacy.
Robert's grandmother was a tyrant. She thought if she couldn't
teach Robert to live a decent life, at least she could beat the
devil out of him. She was strict, tough and demanding. The boy
always knew that his grandmother loved him, but the way she went
about showing her love just wasn't the way he wanted to see it. At
age sixteen, Robert was given the responsibility of another sixteen
year old. She was a beautiful Mexican girl that was entrusted to
his care because her father was being pursued by the FBI as well as
Rick Harrington, a contraband runner. Both of his adversaries are
looking for a correct list of names associated with they young
ladies father, Senior Menendez. Maria Menendez and Robert Copeland
first run to a mountain castle in the western part of the United
States. They don't actually find the castle. The amazing thing is
when Robert's grandfather died many years ago, he left that
property, where the castle is reported to be located, to Robert
with an old Indian named Black Feather as trustee until Robert
Turns eighteen. Not only does our hero outsmart the EBI and the
illegal goods operator, but he frees Senior Menendez and his wife
from FBI custody with an amazing and undetectable escape. Both
Robert Copeland and Maria Menendez get authentic badges and papers
when they are enrolled as FBI interns.
Life felt a little dull to Robert Justice as he returned to his
teaching profession, especially after his experiences during the
past summer. So when Little Eagle invites him and his friends
Mirakeem and Becky to visit him in his hometown of Paradise, Robert
Justice jumps at the opportunity. He knows that wherever Little
Eagle is, adventure and excitement can't be far behind. The three
friends discover that Little Eagle's family includes two separate
tribes: the Wisnooks, a group of sheepherders; and a second lost
tribe, who in times past found shelter in an extinct volcano and
remain hidden there to this day. Robert, Mirakeem, and Becky are
given the honor of joining the annual pilgrimage of the Wisnooks to
Spirit Mountain. What begins as a relaxing vacation soon leads into
the depths of Spirit Mountain, and to an unexpected discovery of a
long-lost secret. The three friends must combine their wits with
Little Eagle's talents to uncover the mystery of what lies beneath
the mountain.
White Bird Returns White Bird was born under very strange
circumstances. His mother Sweentouk had just given birth when a
band of strange Indians passed nearby. One of the men began chasing
her and she knew she couldn't outrun him and hid the baby in a
hollow tree. He got his name from a Great Snowy Owl that lived in
that tree. Later, White Bird would be an outcast from his own tribe
and join with a band of French trapper. He would begin a journey of
thousands of miles because of that association, but it would be the
English that carried him back to the old world as a bonded slave.
During this period he would be captured by the Iroquois Indians to
be sold in slavery. He would escape and become a lifelong enemy to
the Iroquois who he continually outfoxes throughout his association
with them. He also meets his future wife during his first encounter
with these slave trading Indians. Naragomset will be his lifelong
partner and the mother of his children. His return and experiences
is the story in this book. He faces many, many challenges and one
great challenge is a more than twenty year separation from his wife
and two sons. His destiny is to find an Irish lad who will
accompany him back to the New World and become the most famous
chief in all of Wisnook history. The Irish lad, Alvy will become
the guiding spirit of the Wisnook tribe for a thousand years and is
the spirit behind all of the books about the Wisnook Indians.

Throughout the ages, dogs have been part of human life, beginning
so far back that there are no certain records. There have been many
wonderful, special dogs and we do have records of some of these.
This story is about one of those very special dogs that arrived
mysteriously and left the same way. Propane appears in Haiti amid
the aftermath of a devastating hurricane. This book reveals her
adventures to the United States and across the continent. She gets
involved with the lives of many people and in all cases those that
she connects with are better off after knowing her.
We are placed on the merry-go-round as babies and most of us leave
as old men and women, but the things we do while going from one
place to the next has all to do with what and who we are more than
anything else other than our genetics. You have heard that old
saying, "What goes around, comes around." I really think that is
one way to look at our situation and our relationship with others.
This story is in that vein. Our spy, Robert Copeland will be called
upon to save his friend Little Eagle who at one time stepped
forward to save him in a previous book, Little Eagle Saves A Spy.
My comments here are not intended to describe that book, but it is
mentioned briefly in order to get the gist of the reason this book
came about. This story is reversed in who saves whom, and the
situation is reversed in an unsure way in order for the reader who
has read the first book and knows there is a big difference in the
strength and fortitude of Little Eagle and the seemingly lack of
those characteristics in our main character Robert Copeland, but,
having said that, Robert always somehow gets the job done and
usually get rewarded for it.
Wisnook Treasure begins with a cross country hop in three different
planes of the same kind. A flying club has arranged for our two
main characters to fly from Texas to the East Coast of the United
States undetected. The flight requires an excellent plane with
short take off and landing capabilities along with safety and fuel
economy. The Zenith STOL CH 750 Light Sport Utility proved to be
the perfect choice for the task. The home of the manufacture of
this company is in Mexico, Missouri. The author, Dr Robert E
McGinnis is a pilot and he has long admired this great plane and
the company that makes it. His choice for using this small, neat
and proven aircraft was not difficult. Once the mystery begins, our
two companions from the previous book, The Golden Cross get
involved with government agents and unscrupulous treasure hunters
as well. A chase begins in Texas and with help and good luck; our
two companions make it across the continent and solve the riddle of
the Wisnook Treasure.
The Golden Cross What is the Golden Cross? Robert Rios, a US
citizen of Mexican and Indian heritage, stepped off the bus in Rosa
Grande'. As he looked around the small bus stop in an impoverished
adobe town, he wanted to find anyone or anything that looked
familiar. Robert was using his summer vacation away from his
teaching job to look for long-lost relatives in a very remote part
of Mexico's mountainous region. Instead of finding something
familiar, he found more than he could have ever bargained for:
Little Eagle. Little Eagle, a young man from the Wisnook Indian
tribe in America, sits alone in the bus station. He is waiting for
something. The spirits that guide the tribe from the North have led
him to this spot. They have led him to a particular person that
will help him find what he seeks and to fulfill his mission. His
mission: to deliver the Golden Cross. After a chance encounter
between the two men, a third person clothed in the habit of a
monastic order enters the bus stop. Tzchrina, a young woman from a
remote mountainous tribe, shakes up the assumptions the two men had
made. She too is looking for the answer to the riddle of the Golden
Cross. What could a nun want with an item the spirit guides have
sent Little Eagle to bring? As they face challenges with bandits,
soldiers, and nature, the three strangers quickly learn to trust
one another. They must rely on their combined skills discover the
true nature of the Golden Cross and avoid those who seek this
treasure for the wrong reasons. There is a very surprising ending
which few would have guessed and I am not telling.

Robin Long Bird was born Robert Copeland, but extreme circumstances
and devastating threats from several spy agencies throughout the
world required a name change for his personal safety. Robert
Copeland had been hired to take secret pictures for a cartel of
international spy agencies linked by their need to share
information without sharing their true identities. Robert Copeland
failed to turn over this secret information to any of the agencies
demanding it and not even to the covert American agency that
authorized his service. He was treated badly by the agency that
hired him, which also tried to prevent him from being paid for his
summer of spy work. With the help of some special friends, he was
able to get his payment and escape into an unknown and untraceable
identity. His revenge for his poor treatment was in keeping the
secret information. This story is about Robin's ability to hide
from those who wanted the information that only he had access to.
Robert Long Bird has one unique feature which is extremely rare and
not known by many, and that is his ability to move between
dimensions and to take objects and people with him. This may seem
unlikely, but when the concept of dimensional travel is understood,
the events in this book become a possibility.

Raised in Paradise is a story about a young Indian boy who is free
to roam the mountains and ranchlands of the local Indians. He and
his animal companions overcome great challenges. His first big
challenge is being kidnapped along with his mountain lion friend.
The pair are transported a long distance from home and after a
dangerous escape, they encounter many different kinds of
experiences that put them to the test. At all times, Little Eagle
must protect his animal friends from detection on the long walk
back home, but he still finds time to help out many of his newly
found human friends as well. This is book five, and the last book,
of the Paradise series.
A young man is called by his guiding spirit to return to the land
of his parents to help his people with modernization and to
establish order in the lives of several different groups living in
a wide range of conditions. At first his past is unknown to him
because he was deserted as a baby and raised by non-family members
who were unaware of his origination. The main character, Harry
Raven is guided by spiritual forces that are not always apparent,
but seem to offer clues and help at the right time and place. Harry
Raven leaves a wonderful job in a big city to become the leader of
two different Indian tribes, one ancient and one modern. When his
connection to the two tribes is revealed, he will bring the two
together in a way that is beneficial to both.
