Box set containing all four films from the popular 'Lethal Weapon' series. In 'Lethal Weapon' (1987), Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) is a family man cop who is about to turn fifty. Cautious by nature, he is less than happy to be paired with Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) when he is assigned to investigate Californian drug baron 'The General' (Mitchell Ryan). Following the death of his wife, Riggs has become a manic loner who no longer cares whether he lives or dies - an approach which causes more than a few problems as he and Murtaugh attempt to bring the General to justice. In 'Lethal Weapon 2' (1989), Riggs (Gibson) and his partner Murtaugh (Glover) once again tackle the evils of drug smuggling, this time coming up against a South African syndicate whose kingpins are protected by diplomatic immunity. In 'Lethal Weapon 3' (1992), Detectives Murtaugh (Glover) and Riggs (Gibson) are both demoted after triggering a car bomb in a multi-storey car park, but they are soon reinstated after uncovering a network - run by an ex-cop - which is smuggling weapons out of a police ammunition dump. Finally, in 'Lethal Weapon 4' (1998), mismatched cops Riggs (Gibson) and Murtaugh (Glover) team up for a fourth time to foil an immigrant smuggling racket, run by a ruthless Asian Triad leader (Jet Li). Joe Pesci also returns as Leo Getz, the cops' cowardly informant whilst Rene Russo leavens the boys with toys atmosphere as risk-taking detective Lorna Cole.
A double bill of fast-paced action thrillers. In 'Taken' (2008), Liam Neeson stars as Bryan Mills, a former CIA secret agent living in the US, who is obliged to resurrect the skills he learned in his old job after his estranged 17-year-old daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by sex slave traffickers while travelling with a friend in Europe. In the sequel 'Taken 2' (2012), Murad (Rade Serbedzija), the father of a kidnapper killed by Mills (Neeson) in the first film, makes a bid for retribution by taking Mills and his wife (Famke Janssen) hostage in Istanbul. Now their daughter, Kim (Grace), must swing into action and act swiftly to save her parents.
Action drama starring Paul Walker and RZA. Set in a run-down Detroit City, where crime is rife, the local authorities have built a containment wall around derelict brick mansions which are being used by ruthless criminals including gang leader Tremaine (RZA). Police officer Damien Collier (Walker) goes undercover to infiltrate Tremaine's gang and put a stop to his plan to destroy the city. Damien also has a personal vendetta against the crime boss, who murdered his father, as does former convict Lino (David Belle), whose girlfriend has been kidnapped by Tremaine. Damien and Lino form an unlikely partnership as they attempt to seek vengeance while preventing the destruction of the city.
Daniel (Ralph Macchio) arrives at his new school in California and soon finds himself bullied by a bunch of karate-trained creeps. Nevermind, help is on hand in the form of the school janitor (Pat Morita), a wise old martial arts instructor who trains Daniel to become a karate expert. This is lucky, because when the chief bully discovers that Daniel has taken up with his girlfriend, he's not going to be very happy about it.
