Earth is dying. It's resources are contaminated. Plagues have
decimated the population to a mere two million- a population number
not seen on Earth for fifty-thousand years. With time running out,
Earth sends probes to find suitable planets to move its population
to before their impending extinction. Project Arcturus is born. An
advance party is sent to the distant world of Arcturus to eliminate
the current population. The force does not expect the Post Iron-Age
civilization to be any threat at all. On Arcturus peace reigns. The
upcoming harvest festival and sacrifice is their foremost issue. As
the Arcturians become aware of the impending invasion, they turn to
the One that provides all their guidance. Thanks to a decision
thousands of years ago, God still walks among them. Earth's plans
for an easy conquering of the planet are wrong. Very wrong.
As a writer, Robert P. Wills is often asked by his friends to
include them as character in one of his stories. Sometimes that is
not possible. As was the case with his friend, Jack. This book
solves that problem- Jack is the one and only character. EVERYTHING
revolves around Jack. As it should. In fact, "All work and no play
makes Jack a dull boy." is the only content of this epic tome.
Well, except for a few instances, that is. But you (or Jack) will
have to search for them SO- Now that the author's friend, Jack is
happy, he wants to share the best gift anyone named Jack could get.
With you. You're lucky that way. So-- Buy the book, put a book mark
in it anywhere, then put it on your coffee table, end table, or
bathroom. When your guests open it out of curiosity, they will be
confused because it's the same sentence over and over (mostly).
Confused guests are a good thing. Or, if you have a friend named
Jack, this is the perfect gift for him.
It is a time of celebration as Julesville plans a Victory over
Halfling Day. The V-H jubilee planning committee does NOT need
Grimbledung's help. Across town, Big Julie is having a theft
problem. Wands are disappearing at an alarming rate from her
students. At wit's end, she hires Grimbledung to go undercover at
the school as a transfer student to ferret out the thief. Grim Noir
is on the case! It doesn't go as planned. Love is in the air! Cheri
settles down with her long lost love. Akita sets his eyes on the
mysterious Elf, Maca. Then, just when there couldn't (or shouldn't)
be more romance- two Dwarfesses arrive in town. They're interested
in Grimbledung and Drimblerod. Really, really interested. Of course
that probably isn't what it seems. However, as Akita says "Every
pot has its lid," so maybe it will work out in the end. Spoiler
Alert: It doesn't."
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. It really, really does.
Jack should be more involved in play than work. All play and no
work makes Jack a fun boy. That's how we like Jack; fun. Put a
bookmark anywhere in this book and place it on your end table,
coffee table, or bathroom. When guests come over and they flip
through this book. They will become confused. Confused guests are
fun to have. So is a fun Jack who plays instead of works.
Aution lay in ruins. Charred, smoldering ruins. The Gnomes, Rat,
and Nulu make their way to Big Julie's School of Magic. They're
looking for a place to hide out until things cool down. News hasn't
spread about Grimbledung being responsible for the town-wide fire
and they want to keep it that way. Julesville is founded around
Julie's school and everything seems to be moving along smoothly
until a newly-unemployed Werewolf and Haberdashery owner show up.
With Akita and Pozzuoli in town, things aren't looking good for
Grimbledung! Fortunately for him, the impending Halfling invasion
gets everyone's attention. When a contingent of battle-hardened
Halflings arrive in town and declares Martial Law, things look
dire. To make matters worse, the Halfling Army masses on the other
side of the Anti-Ogre wall. Working together, the gang tricks the
Halfling soldiers into leaving Julesville (intact even), repels the
Halfling invasion, and restores peace to The Lands. Well, not
really those last two...
