A RE-ASSERTION OF GRACE; OR, VINDICIAE EVANGELII; or a Vindication
of Gospel Truths, from the unjust censure and undue aspersions of
Antinomians. In a modest Reply to Anthony Burgess: VINDICIAE LEGIS.
Together with the book entitled: MONOMACHIA; OR, A Single REPLY To
Mr. RUTHERFORD'S Book called CHRIST'S DYING AND DRAWING OF SINNERS.
By ROBERT TOWNE. 1654. There is a little book called THE ASSERTION
OF GRACE, printed {in 1644} by some well-wishers to the truth as it
is in Jesus; that, with Dr. Crisp's Sermons and Eaton's Honeycombe
of Free Justification by Christ Alone, being thronged with pikes of
despite ever since their publication, have occasioned this
Re-Assertion, to rescue and vindicate the credit and truth of each,
wherein they have too long suffered. Free-Grace is the richest
Diamond belonging to the Crown of our King Jesus; and what are all
these that we hazard to our spiritual freedom, peace of conscience,
everlasting life, and that exceeding glorious condition in God's
Kingdom!
A Defense of the Doctrine of Free Justification against the
lawless, unjust and uncharitable imputation of Legalists &
Pharisees, or the Favorites of Antichrist, who under a pretended
zeal of the Law, do pervert, dispute and obscure the simplicity of
the Faith of the Gospel. Containing an Answer to that book
entitled, The Rule of the Law under the Gospel, &c., which book
set forth by Dr. Taylor is showed to be full of scandal and danger,
as it was sent to the said Doctor a little before his death, By
ROBERT TOWNE, Minister of the Gospel. Which may also serve for a
full Answer to a late pamphlet entitled, Antinomianism Anatomized,
under the name of John Sedgwick, being for the substance of it a
mere extract out of the said Dr. Taylor.

Sequel to the hugely successful 1996 spin-off of the popular
Sixties espionage series. Impossible Missions Force's Ethan Hunt
(Tom Cruise) is charged with tracking down renegade fellow agent
Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott), who has stolen the only known supply
of Bellophron - the antidote to man-made virus Chimera. Ethan
enlists the help of Ambrose's ex-girlfriend, Nyah Nordoff-Hall
(Thandie Newton), and although the pair have fallen in love, Nyah
agrees to return to Ambrose in order to gain information. However,
Ambrose now intends to trigger off an epidemic of Chimera in order
to sell Bellophron to the highest bidder, and when he becomes
suspicious of Nyah decides to use her as a guinea pig.
Period action adventure set in the late 19th century, directed by
Hugh Hudson ('Chariots of Fire'). Christopher Lambert stars as
Tarzan of Greystoke, who as an infant was orphaned on the west
coast of Africa following a shipwreck, and was rescued and brought
up by a family of highly-evolved apes. Twenty years later, a
Belgian hunter, Captaine Phillippe D'Arnot (Ian Holm), encounters
the man who has now become Tarzan, Lord of the Apes when the
ape-man rescues him from a terrible death. When the Captaine finds
evidence to prove that Tarzan is the direct descendant of the Earl
of Greystoke, he takes it upon himself to return the man to
civilization. But Edwardian England is very different to the wilds
of the African jungle, and Tarzan finds himself torn between two
irreconcilable worlds...

One of the seminal American films of the 1970s, Roman Polanski's
detective yarn sees murder and scandal emerge from the drought of
1930s Southern California. Private eye Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson)
is hired to follow water commissioner Hollis Mulwray (Darrell
Zwerling), only to see him turn up dead at the bottom of a
reservoir. Realising he has been used, Gittes confronts Mulwray's
widow, Evelyn (Faye Dunaway), a woman who seems to have plenty of
secrets of her own, not least her ambiguous relationship with her
father, Noah Cross (John Huston).
Chinatown, generally regarded as the Great American Screenplay,
follows a seedy private investigator, Jake Gittes, as he becomes
involved in a case far more complicated than he ever imagined.
Instead of adultery and divorce, he uncovers a conspiracy reaching
to the economic foundations of Los Angeles. Set in the 1930s, the
film was directed by Roman Polanski and stars Jack Nicholson, Faye
Dunaway, and John Huston.
Three classic films from acclaimed director, Roman Polanski. In
'Rosemary's Baby' (1968), Mia Farrow stars as Rosemary, a young
wife whose husband (John Cassavetes), an actor, falls in with a
group of Satanists. When Rosemary becomes pregnant, she begins to
suspect that she may be carrying the child of the Devil. In 'The
Tenant' (1976), when Trelkovsky (Polanski) rents a decrepit, barren
flat he discovers that the flat's previous occupant, a young girl,
had leaped to her death from its window. Intrigued, he begins to
obsess about the girl and convinces himself that the other tenants
of the building are trying to drive him to self-murder as well. But
has Trelkovsky really only inherited the girl's suicidal urges?
Finally, in 'Chinatown' (1974), private eye Jake Gittes (Jack
Nicholson) is hired to follow water commissioner Hollis Mulwray
(Darrell Zwerling), only to see him turn up dead at the bottom of a
reservoir. Realising he has been used, Gittes confronts Mulwray's
widow Evelyn (Faye Dunway), a woman who seems to have plenty of
secrets of her own, not least her ambiguous relationship with her
father Noah Cross (John Huston).
