Imagine yourself being stalked by a cold-blooded killer, a predator who wants to destroy the minds of you and the woman you love - - before he kills both of you Pat Patton is an attorney who recently passed the Bar. His next hurdle is to set up a law practice but he soon realizes he has no idea what he is doing. A somewhat immature Pat loves pranks, beer, and women, but has to grow up - - fast. Good luck comes when he leases office space with an established attorney willing to help him but bad luck comes when he represents the ex-wife of a cold-blooded killer in an adoption case. A simple adoption turns into a nightmare when Skinny, the imprisoned psychopathic legal father, finds out Pat represents his ex-wife and new husband in the adoption of his children. He believes they are stealing his kids and vows to break out of prison and kill all three of them - -slowly As Pat finds out, psychopaths are very hard to fight. He is at a decided disadvantage as he might hesitate before pulling the trigger; a psychopath would not. Pat has to quickly learn the world of judges and prosecutors as he juggles misdemeanors as well as serious but often humorous felony cases based on real situations of former lawyer and author Roger Fenton. Court room and prison scenes are so real you will think you are there. As he travels the world of court room drama, motorcycles, cars, and ultralight airplanes, we see two people who have a profound influence on his life: Shirley, the woman who wants to marry him and Skinny, the man who wants to kill him. You will get quickly involved in the suspense of this novel, as you learn the court system along with Pat, and be warmed by a tender love story. You will not want to stop reading this page turner.
