This book contains a collection of cutting-edge papers on
methodological aspects of prosody research. Current approaches to
the gathering, treatment, and interpretation of prosodic data are
discussed by experts in the field, illustrated by their own
empirical research. Contributions focus on the choice and
measurement of prosodic parameters, the establishment of prosodic
categories, annotation structures for spoken-language data, and
experimental methods for production and perception studies
(including the construction of materials, modes of presentation,
online vs. offline tasks, judgement scales, data processing, and
statistical evaluation). The volume will serve as a handbook
linking data collection and interpretation, allowing researchers in
linguistics and related fields to make more informed decisions
concerning their empirical work in prosody.
This book constitutes the revised selected papers of the 9th
International Conference on Networked Systems, NETYS 2021, held
virtually in May 2021.The 15 revised full papers and 2 short papers
presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 32 submissions.
The papers are organized in the following thematic blocks:
distributed systems, blockchain, and verification.
This book is dedicated to Professor Ernst--Rudiger Olderog on the
occasion of his 60th birthday. This volume is a reflection on
Professor Olderog's contributions to the scientific community. It
provides a sample of research ideas that have been influenced
directly by Ernst- Rudiger Olderog's work. After a laudatio section
that provides a brief overview of Ernst- Rudiger Olderog's
research, the book is comprised of five parts with scientific
papers written by colleagues and collaborators of Professor
Olderog. The papers address semantics, process algebras, logics for
verification, program analysis, and synthesis approaches.
Bildlichkeit. Interdisziplinärer Überblick über die aktuelle
Debatte um den Wahrheitsgehalt digitaler Bilder Mit Beiträgen zu
professionellen, populären und künstlerischen Formen der
Bildforensik
