The title of this book comes from an online insult. This book was
first published in 2006 by Dojo Press & contains the original
material as well as, dealing with criminal tactics, counter tactics
for multiple opponents, improvised street weapons, an expanded
catalog of Animals in the Street, Urban Jungle metaphor and
archetypes & much more... This book was originally, written as
an insult to the So called traditionalists in martial arts, who
care more about the appearance of tradition then the actual
effectiveness of their arts against modern and realistic threats.
Instead this book takes on the Street Fighter's approach to seeing
martial arts techniques as tools in the tool box and take from any
source where methods work. However this book also tells you how the
""Bad Guys"" think, act and stack the deck to win. It explains to
you how the same trains to commit crimes. It is meant to teach you
have to think like a criminal and in turn, out think the criminal.
This book is omage to Major W. E. Fairbairn, with added text
analyzing "the Fairbairn" method of Hand-to-Hand Combat. As a
former Hand-to-Hand combat instructor in the US Army, Sensei Ron
Collins examines offers some modern explanation and interpretation
of Major Fairbairn's system. This book contains the original text
of Get Tough with added commentary by Sensei Ron Collins, including
an 8-day Home Self-Defense Boot Camp schedule and other
