For years, Gregory L. Jones dealt with a stress-related illness-a heart disease that would eventually make him a stronger and better person. The more he ignored the need for stability in his life, the sicker he became. "Heart Matters" captures the struggles and the victories that Gregory faced over the years, demonstrating how trials create wisdom and how imperfections become stepping stones to miracles. Gregory L. Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Rosemary Jones and Benjamin Reese. He was one of two biological children. With the hope of overcoming his heart disease, he enrolled in a Thoratec Heart Mate II Research Study, at Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He lived a fairly normal life and had a normal daily routine. He was appointed president of the Jones Family Fund and became a Certified Food Service Manager through the Chicago Department of Public Health. He was an entrepreneur for Jones Family Catering. "Heart Matters" was written in memory of the life and legacy of Gregory L. Jones by his loving mother, Rosemary. He was successful and inspired thousands of people. He surrendered to the fact that even though life held confusion and disappointment, with God all things are possible.
Mayhem stalks the midway as the malevolent Carnaval Pomme D'or returns to the super-hero metropolis of Cobalt City. Legends claim this mysterious and dark carnival has ties to Lafayette, one of the city's earliest heroes. Some say it is a force of nature, a danger that can only be endured but never defeated. Back for the first time in a generation, it brings mystics and monsters concealed beneath a veneer of greasepaint and faded canvas. Nothing less than the soul of the city is at stake. Do the assembled super-heroes of Cobalt City have what it takes to challenge the forces of chaos? What chances do a lovelorn cat woman, industrialist family man, evolved panda, ancient sorcerer, dead jazz musician, and renegade cupid stand against an evil that has persevered for centuries?
When it comes to the holidays, Cobalt City isn't all that different from your hometown, except for the secret headquarters, out-of-town guests capable of destroying the world, hundreds of heavily armed rubber duckies, Christmas geese that fight back, other-worldly arsonists, and inventors with jet packs, that is. Unwrap a bundle of super-powered adventure for the holidays, including tasty tales from storytellers both new and established: Nicole Burns, Rosemary Jones, Angel Leigh McCoy, Jeremy Zimmerman, and Cobalt City creator Nathan Crowder. You've never experienced a Christmas like a Cobalt City Christmas!
