Unfortunately these woods belong to the faeries. Flash has made two friends at his new school and the boys spend the summer building a den in the woods. Molly tags along and the children have fun, until the day Molly goes missing. While searching for Molly the boys meet a wood nymph called Laeonyla who tells them what has happened to Molly. With the help of Laeonyla and her people, the boys set off on an adventure, which takes them into a world of strange creatures. Their friendship with each other is strengthened, and their courage is tested, as they learn to trust and respect the faeries, another race of beings, who befriend them and who risk their own lives to help bring Molly home.
