I didn't know what to do, how to get out. I wasn't equipped to save myself and take control of my care and future. I am living proof that I successfully divorced my husband. I was completely ignorant about how to leave my husband and what the divorce process was going to entail. When I asked my husband for a separation, I didn't care. I just wanted out. What unfolded for me turned out to be some of the most difficult, challenging, rewarding, and shocking months of my life. Much of what I learned is not anything that my friends or my lawyer could help me with. That is why I wanted to write down what I learned and share it with you. I have valuable insight and information to share with you. It was not easy to write this book since it brought back so many feelings and memories of a difficult period in my life.
