The Two-Minute Warning is a novel that takes a journey with John
Starr, who is an evangelist and watchman in the end times, in his
travels sounding the alarm of warning that God has appointed him to
sound. It is a story of revival and of the end-time harvest.
"This is a must-read for anyone who wants to expand their
understanding of spiritual warfare and catch the enthusiasm of the
author in taking up their cross to follow Jesus. Great story I
loved it " --Melissa Geno, Kingdom Warriors
"I find Bob Ross Thomas's book, The Two Minute Warning, a
timely warning to the Church in America to truly walk in repentance
and humility. From his evangelistic travels to the prophetic dreams
given to him by God, I truly believe he is a watchman and must blow
the trumpet of warning." --Gene Schmidt, exec vice president, Hand

I wonder what the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at Jacob's Well was
like. What were the circumstances that led to her being there,
drawing water in the heat of the day? The New Testament does not
give us much background on the people involved in some of the
familiar stories. This book brings those characters to life by
letting the reader imagine what their life might have been like.
Consider Joseph as a man wondering how he got himself into a
situation where he and his pregnant wife were traveling to
Bethlehem. What happened at the birth of Jesus from the perspective
of another guest in the Inn? Did the jailer in Philippi have a son?
If he did, how might he have viewed the events that happened while
Paul was a prisoner? A Centurion had a servant who was ill. What
was the relationship between the Centurion and the servant? How did
the Centurion happen to get sent to Galilee? These stories take New
Testament stories as a starting place and consider a different
possibility. They will challenge you to think again about the
people who might have met Jesus in person.

Although the United States has prioritized its fight against
militant groups for two decades, the transnational jihadist
movement has proved surprisingly resilient and adaptable. Many
analysts and practitioners have underestimated these militant
organizations, viewing them as unsophisticated or unchanging
despite the ongoing evolution of their tactics and strategies. In
Enemies Near and Far, two internationally recognized experts use
newly available documents from al-Qaeda and ISIS to explain how
jihadist groups think, grow, and adapt. Daveed Gartenstein-Ross and
Thomas Joscelyn recast militant groups as learning organizations,
detailing their embrace of strategic, tactical, and technological
innovation. Drawing on theories of organizational learning, they
provide a sweeping account of these groups' experimentation over
time. Gartenstein-Ross and Joscelyn shed light on militant groups'
most effective strategic and tactical moves, including attacks
targeting aircraft and the use of the internet to inspire and
direct lone attackers, and they examine jihadists' ability to shift
their strategy based on political context. While militant groups'
initial efforts to upgrade their capabilities often fail, these
attempts should generally be understood not as failures but as
experiments in service of a learning process-a process that
continues until these groups achieve a breakthrough. Providing
unprecedented historical and strategic perspective on how jihadist
groups learn and evolve, Enemies Near and Far also explores how to
anticipate future threats, analyzing how militants are likely to
deploy a range of emerging technologies.
From the Edgar Award-winning author: "[A] highly readable novel of
political adventure . . . a cracking good story and the Africa
mentality is fascinating" (Kirkus Reviews). Clinton Shartelle
doesn't seem like a good choice to run a political campaign in
Albertia. For one thing, he's American, and Albertia is a small
coastal republic in Africa, about to be cut loose from the English
Crown. For another, Shartelle is Southern and fiercely proud of it,
and his ideas about racial politics veer unpredictably from
progressive to rigidly old-fashioned. But Shartelle is the best,
and the political future of Albertia is too important to be left to
anyone else. If history is any indication, this first fair election
will probably be the country's last. Rich natural resources make it
attractive to businessmen on both sides of the Atlantic, opening
Albertia up to political corruption. For his part, Shartelle is
hired to make sure that a British industrialist's favored candidate
wins the presidency. But the opposition is backed by the CIA, for
whom murder is just another political tool.
This book is a brief, chronological history of when and by whom,
non-biblical ideas entered the Church and how those false ideas
became official doctrines in what would emerge over the centuries
as the Roman Catholic Church. These doctrines crystallized over the
gradual abandonment of the exclusive authority of the Bible in the
life of the Church by the establishment of doctrines based on human
tradition. There is much pressure today by the Roman Catholic
Church on Protestant Evangelicals of all persuasions, to set aside
doctrinal differences and evangelize together so that the world
will see a united Church. Yet the Bible clearly teaches that the
Church of Jesus Christ is to be the pillar and foundation of the
truth in the midst of society (1 Timothy 3:15). How can we abandon
the truth for the sake of unity and think that we can actually
accomplish Gods will for His Church. Does the truth really matter?
Ross Thomas Hindman served the Lord as a missionary in France from
1984 to 2006. In the early years he was involved in helping French
Christians establish new churches and then later became the
director of the Bethany Bible School in the heart of France. He
also helped Brazilian missionaries begin a Bethany Bible School in
Dakar, Senegal, West Africa. He continues his ministry of teaching
in the French-speaking world as well as in the United States while
continuing his missionary activities with Bethany International in
helping develop mission schools in the least-reached nations. He
received the Bachelor of Arts in Bible (Cum Laude) from Asbury
College in 1980 and the Master of Divinity in Evangelism and
Missions from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky in
1983. Married with three children and six grandchildren, he
currently lives with his wife Ellen in Omaha, Nebraska.

A stuntman searches for a colleague whom he thought he killed long
ago Two pirates do battle on an old junk ship in Singapore Harbor.
They leap nimbly from deck to rigging, crossing swords like fencing
masters. And then one surprises the other, slicing a rope and
sending the unfortunate pirate tumbling into the bay. This is how
stuntman Angelo Sacchetti dies. Edward Cauthorne was his opponent,
a fellow stuntman whose career died along with Sacchetti. He's
selling used cars when two thugs approach him. They're emissaries
from Sacchetti's godfather, a Mafia don. Sacchetti is alive after
all-alive enough to be blackmailing the don-and they firmly request
that Cauthorne find him. The search takes Cauthorne back to
Singapore, to risk his own life for the sake of the man he thought
he'd killed. "Ross Thomas is without peer in American suspense."
-The Los Angeles Times "What Elmore Leonard does for crime in the
streets, Ross Thomas does for crime in the suites." -The Village
Voice "Ross Thomas is that rare phenomenon, a writer of suspense
whose novels can be read with pleasure more than once." -Eric
Ambler, author of The Mask of Dimitrios The winner of the inaugural
Gumshoe Lifetime Achievement Award, Ross Thomas (1926-1995) was a
prolific author whose political thrillers drew praise for their
blend of wit and suspense. Born in Oklahoma City, Thomas grew up
during the Great Depression, and served in the Philippines during
World War II. After the war, he worked as a foreign correspondent,
public relations official, and political strategist before
publishing his first novel, The Cold War Swap (1967), based on his
experience working in Bonn, Germany. The novel was a hit, winning
Thomas an Edgar Award for Best First Novel and establishing the
characters Mac McCorkle and Mike Padillo. Thomas followed it up
with three more novels about McCorkle and Padillo, the last of
which was published in 1990. He wrote nearly a book a year for
twenty-five years, occasionally under the pen name Oliver Bleeck,
and won the Edgar Award for Best Novel with Briarpatch (1984).
Thomas died of lung cancer in California in 1995, a year after
publishing his final novel, Ah, Treachery
