Manufacturing and operations management paradigms are evolving
toward more open and resilient spaces where innovation is driven
not only by ever-changing customer needs but also by agile and
fast-reacting networked structures. Flexibility, adaptability and
responsiveness are properties that the next generation of systems
must have in order to successfully support such new emerging
trends. Customers are being attracted to be involved in
Co-innovation Networks, as - proved responsiveness and agility is
expected from industry ecosystems. Renewed production systems needs
to be modeled, engineered and deployed in order to achieve
cost-effective solutions. BASYS conferences have been developed and
organized as a forum in which to share visions and research
findings for innovative sustainable and knowledge-based
products-services and manufacturing models. Thus, the focus of
BASYS is to discuss how human actors, emergent technologies and
even organizations are integrated in order to redefine the way in
which the val- creation process must be conceived and realized.
BASYS 2010, which was held in Valencia, Spain, proposed new
approaches in automation where synergies between people, systems
and organizations need to be fully exploited in order to create
high added-value products and services. This book contains the
selection of the papers which were accepted for presentation at the
BASYS 2010 conference, covering consolidated and emerging topics of
the conference scope.
hijo, Ruben Dario Contreras.
Guatemala. Murio el 6 febrero de 1916 en Nicaragua.
The articles included in this book deal with various aspects of
international migration analyzed from different methodological
perspectives. What unites this collection of articles is that they
deal with peripheral borders, separating rich and poor regions of
our globe. They analyze the challenges and problems faced by the
European Union and its member states, including Spain and Poland -
states with external sea and land borders of the EU. The position
of a peripheral country causes a number of problems related to
illegal immigration, experienced by Poland and Spain alike. The
United States face a similar problem on the border with Mexico.
Undoubtedly, as a result of migration pressure, both the European
Union and the United States increasingly resemble a besieged
fortress.

Azul... (1888) is a book of stories and poems by Ruben Dario.
Written while the poet was living in Chile, Azul... has been
recognized as a pioneering work of Hispanic Modernism that launched
the career of a leading Latin American poet. Both experimental and
traditional, Azul... blends Dario's concern over the sustainability
of modern life with his abiding interest in the myths and magic of
ancient cultures. Infused with classical symbolism, inspired by the
myth and philosophy of Ancient Greece, Ruben Dario's Azul...
bridges the gap between ancient and modern. Rather than focus on
the differences between the two, he envisions the past as a living
entity, allowing history and fantasy to coincide with the social
realities of his time. In these poems and stories, fairies from the
plays of Shakespeare appear alongside the working men and women of
Latin America. Dreams coincide with a reality mired in poverty,
labor, and passionless social climbing. Poets and port workers sing
and die in a city of ghostly beauty. Azul... is less a book than it
is an experience, and nearly a century and a half after its
publication it remains one worth the taking. With a beautifully
designed cover and professionally typeset manuscript, this edition
of Ruben Dario's Azul... is a classic of Nicaraguan literature
reimagined for modern readers.

Rubén DarÃo (1867-1916), the Nicaraguan poet and founder of the
literary movement known as Modernismo - somewhat akin to French
Symbolisme - died more than a century ago, but his influence on
Spanish-language poetry remains immense. Pablo Neruda, Federico
GarcÃa Lorca, Octavio Paz, César Vallejo, Gabriel GarcÃa
Márquez and Jorge Luis Borges, among many others, acknowledged
their debt. Borges declared: 'DarÃo was an innovator in
everything: subject matter, vocabulary, metre, the peculiar magic
of certain words ... We can truly call him the Liberator.' DarÃo's
influence on Hispanic poetry is enormous: he is the conduit into
Spanish for the most forward-looking kind of French poetry of his
time, his own major influences including Hugo and Verlaine, and his
relentless exploration of new metrical possibilities opened up new
options for what was an ossified tradition at the time he erupted
onto the scene.
