Daniel and his friend Lydia Cohen-deported from the City of Gold as youth senators and imprisoned in the dissident prison at Leavenworth-escape through a miracle. Aided by the Christian underground, they make their way to Canada in search of Maranatha Village, a refuge for dissidents. They are now part of the remnant-those who cannot follow the world regime and await the second coming of Christ.

A new beginning...a new world...a new life. Transferred from Fort Thompson to the nation's capital to serve on the President's Youth Council, Daniel Jordan is shocked to find he does not arrive in Washington D.C., but lands in the nation's heartland, Kansas. Standing on top a helipad Daniel views the incredible beauty of rainbows reflecting off the blue-glass City of Gold designed by the president. Solar cars move silently along streets of gold. Streams wind their way under footbridges and even in winter, flowers bloom-all protected by a solar shield. In the City of Gold, Daniel forms a friendship with California's Youth Council senator, Lydia Cohen, a lovely, caring and brilliant young woman who will win the wreath of victory and be named president of the Youth Council. Or will she? Many questions arise: Is the beautiful City of Gold all it seems to be...a city of peace and beauty? Or Is it a counterfeit, beautiful on the outside, but immoral and full of evil? Is President Blackstone a figure of world peace or could he be "the lawless man" spoken of in the Bible? What will happen to those who did not take the number to buy and sell? Will a new constitution designed to protect the good of the many replace our present constitution which protects the pursuit of happiness and rights of the Individual? 2025 Phoenix, Arizona-2025 Eighteen-year old star athlete Daniel Jordan must decide between following his dream to play professional soccer or a nomination to be Arizona's representative to the president's elite Guardian Corps created to carry out the president's new initiatives. Phoenix is the incubator for change. And...America is changing. The American president, in a power move, appoints a Council of Twelve and fifty state governors to a board replacing the Congress.
