A programmable logic controller (PLC) or programmable controller is a digital computer used for automation of electromechanical processes, such as control of machinery on factory assembly lines, amusement rides, or light fixtures. The versatility and prospect of automation is so important that it could bring radical development in almost every aspect. The immediate objective of this book is to study and test the applicability of PLC. In this book, knowledge on PLC is obtained and its applications in different sectors are discussed. Also different types of PLCs are specified and briefly discussed. Among them, a PLC Trainer PLC-100 and LOGO 230 RC have been studied and several projects and experiments are done with PLC Trainer PLC-100. The book stands to describe the state of underground and surface water of the area lying in the District Nawabshah, Sindh, Pakistan. The book can be of an immense assistance for the researchers, pursuing and working on environmental issues, specially, with the quality of water in different parts of the world. The Author tried a bit to analyze and discuss the possible reasons for the deterioration of the quality of the surface water and underground water. Along with the assessment and analysis of quality of water, its applicability as drinking water and also for agricultural purpose is discussed.

The RiUP was committed to providing environmentally sustainable solutions to the millions of poor families in Africa-Asia whose livelihoods depend on Renewable Natural Resource. RiUP approached to environmental issues, including climate change, is in keeping with the principles of sustainable development, the MDG's (Millennium Development Goals) and DFID's. The PAPD was conducted in Shiyalmara Pani Babosthapona Samabay Samity Ltd. at Sunamganj district and Cchoyhara Bohumukhi Samabay Samity Ltd. at Jamalganj upazila under Sylhet division of Bangladesh. It was found that the community used previous knowledge and technology in current development and it is more effective than Top-Down concept. The Haor area, alternatively referred to as the Haor basin or the Sylhet basin, is estimated to spread over an area between 4,450 km and 25,000 km by experts. Faster changes in inundation are expected at low temperature increases than of higher temperature changes. Also shown substantial changes in rice agriculture and cropping patterns. Reduction of increased flood hazard due to climate change requires strengthening of flood management policies and adaptation measures in Haor basin.

Exposure to climate variability and extremes, most particularly drought, cyclone and flash-flood poses substantial risks to people living in Dinajpur, Satkhira and Sunamganj districts respectively and 6 upazilas (Ghoraghat-Birganj, Assasuni-Syamnagar and Derai-Sunamganj sadar in orderly) of these districts were taken as the study areas. The work summarised the trends of 9 indicators. The statistical analysis aimed to observe the trend of seasonal variation and natural hazards through indicators with field survey questionnaire, focus group discussion and participatory action plan development method to analyze the distribution of hazard occurrence and frequency which resulting currently summer, monsoon and winter dominant season with high abnormalities than before. Trend of climate and water level analysed with SMRC data and community perception results devastating temperature and rainfall condition along with future trend of about annually 3.980C and 5.11% change respectively. Impact of cyclone, drought and flash-flood on people's livelihood and crop diversification were observed frequent condition with high deterioration.

The peace process between India and Pakistan took off with Vajpai's offer of CBMs in October 2003 and initially it showed a great promise. However, by spring 2006 signs of a deadlock had become clearer in official negotiations between the two sides. Then back channel dialogues were started to remove those hurdles and according to some reports the two sides had reached to a non-paper resolving all conflicting issues including the longstanding Kashmir conflict. But that non-paper could never come out from the backchannel.
