Pity poor Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger). She's the 1990s British
everywoman: single, weight-obsessed, and very probably drunk on
mid-price white wine. Her life goes from middling to worse when she
embarks on a doomed affair with silver-tongued boss Daniel Cleaver
(Hugh Grant).
Sharon Maguire directs this third instalment of the romantic comedy
series based on the characters created by Helen Fielding. Renée
Zellweger reprises her role as Bridget Jones, the quirky
forty-something who is learning to embrace adulthood. Following her
break up with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), Bridget decides to focus on her
career as a top news producer while also attempting to enjoy the single
life with friends.
Finale of the BBC sitcom written by and starring Miranda Hart. In the last two episodes Miranda is forced to choose between the proposals of Gary (Tom Ellis) and Mike (Bohdan Poraj) and subsequently plan a wedding. But faced with mounting pressure from her mother (Patricia Hodge) and best friend Stevie (Sarah Hadland) she might just choose to reject both of her potential suitors. Gary Barlow, Liza Tarbuck and Heather Small are amongst the guest stars.
Every episode from the three BBC comedy series featuring Steve Coogan's cringeworthy alter ego, chat show host Alan Partridge. 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' (1994) sees Alan presenting his TV series, welcoming guests including the raunchy dance act Hot Pants, who get in a hot tub with the host at the end of the show. The two series of 'I'm Alan Partridge' (1997 and 2003) chronicle Alan's increasingly desperate attempts to rebuild his tattered career after assaulting the BBC's Chief Commissioning Editor with a frozen turkey.
Seven episodes from the Cbeebies TV show presented by Justin Fletcher. Justin is joined in his colourful house by Robert the Robot (Steve Kynam), Wanda Round (Sally Phillips) and the Little Monster as he dresses up, cooks, dances and plays songs. The episodes are: 'The Tooth Fairy', 'Just in a Dream', 'Little Monster's Birthday', 'Justin Times', 'Just Tins of Paint', 'Robert's Memory Download' and 'Little Monster's Den'.
Christian Slater and Neve Campbell star alongside British comedians Harry Enfield, Rik Mayall, Bob Mortimer, Vic Reeves, Mackenzie Crook, Ronni Ancona and Sally Phillips in this comedy spoof about Winston Churchill. American movie moguls are producing a movie about World War II. Following the first day of shooting, an ambitious executive discovers that their 'lead' is an old guy with a cigar, so they decide to replace him with a far more sellable leading man: the star of their most recent film - the tactfully entitled 'PUMP!' Anthony Sher and Miranda Richardson make an appearance as Adolf Hitler and his fated lover, Eva Braun.
