The Spanish Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage rooted in the Medieval period and increasingly active today, has attracted a growing amount of both scholarly and popular attention. With its multiple points of departure in Spain and other European countries, its simultaneously secular and religious nature, and its international and transhistorical population of pilgrims, this particular pilgrimage naturally invites a wide range of intellectual inquiry and scholarly perspectives. This volume fills a gap in current pilgrimage studies, focusing on contemporary representations of the Camino de Santiago. Complementing existing studies of the Camino's medieval origins, it situates the Camino as a modern experience and engages interdisciplinary perspectives to present a theoretical framework for exploring the most central issues that concern scholars of pilgrimage studies today. Contributors explore the contemporary meaning of the Camino through an interdisciplinary lens that reflects the increasing permeability between academic disciplines and fields, bringing together a wide range of theoretical and critical perspectives (cultural studies, literary studies, globalization studies, memory studies, ethnic studies, postcolonial studies, cultural geographies, photography, and material culture). Synopsis '' Sweet Revenge '', zijn de woorden die de geest van Luke omringden, een jonge man van slechts 19 jaar oud die in het asiel leeft '' Gelach '', Luke was de jongste en ten onrechte beschuldigd van de moord op zijn ouders in een vlaag van waanzin, bijna drie jaar geleden, zelfs wetende dat hij onschuldig was, maar niemand wist dat hij al snel echte aanwijzingen zou geven om beschuldigd te worden. Aan de andere kant was Julia, een jonge vrouw van 18 jaar, een student psychiatrie die de gevangenen van het asiel "Risita" in hun trainingswerk heeft onderzocht. Het leven van beide jongeren reist hetzelfde lot, maar niemand weet het; maar er is iets wanneer hun ogen elkaar ontmoeten, ze voelen iets meer dan een simpele liefde.

La optimizacion de estructuras ha sido una disciplina muy estudiada por numerosos investigadores durante los ultimos cuarenta anos. A pesar de que durante los primeros veinte anos las tecnicas de Programacion Matematica fueron la herramienta fundamental en este campo, estas han ido perdiendo fuelle frente a un nuevo conjunto de tecnicas metaheuristicas basadas en la Computacion Evolutiva. De entre estas destacan, de manera significativa, los Algoritmos Geneticos. La irrupcion de estas nuevas tecnicas en el campo de la optimizacion de estructuras es debida, en gran medida, a las dificultades de la Programacion Matematica para realizar la optimizacion simultanea de las variables de diseno debido a la elevada alinealidad de estas y sus restricciones. El objetivo fundamental del presente trabajo es ir un poco mas alla en el proceso de la optimizacion simultanea de las variables de diseno, definiendo un algoritmo que no parte de una estructura predefinida y que incorpora los parametros que determinan la geometria."
