The age of 3D printing and personal fabrication is upon us
You've probably heard of the incredibly sophisticated, yet
inexpensive 3D printers that can produce almost any creation you
give them. But how do you become part of that revolution?
Sandeep Singh takes you through the skills you need to learn and
the services and technologies you need to knowexplaining what 3D
printing is, how it works, and what it can do for you. You'll find
yourself rapidly prototyping and learning to produce complex
designs that can be fabricated by online 3D printing services or
privately-owned 3D printersin your hands in no time.
Beginning Google SketchUp for 3D Printing starts by explaining
how to use SketchUp and its plug-ins to make your design products.
You will learn how to present and animate 3D models, and how to use
Google Earth and 3D Warehouse to sell and market your 3D models.
You'll also catch a glimpse of the 3D printing'sfuture so you can
plan aheadwhile mastering today's tools.

There is a definite link between employee attitudes and patient
satisfaction. If employees are unhappy or dissatisfied, despite
their best efforts; it is difficult for them to conceal this factor
when interacting with patients and other staff members. One of the
primary reasons for evaluating employee satisfaction is to identify
problems and try to resolve them before they impact on patient care
and treatment. Improving the quality of patient care in hospitals
is a vital and necessary activity. Patients report they receive
less individual attention than ever before. They complain that
doctors and nurses are too busy tending to the technical aspects of
care to provide the much needed attention to patients' personal
needs. Not only is it important in terms of quality of patient
care, assessing employee satisfaction is a critical component in
retaining qualified health professionals. Many health care
providers feel frustrated and disillusioned in jobs they expected
to find fulfilling. They have less time to do a quality job of
caring for patients; This leads to low morale, staff turnover, and
overall disenchantment with job opportunities in health care.
The purpose of doing this project is to design and implement a
three floor elevator control system. Each floor was to have its own
illuminated push button to call the elevator to a demanded floor.
The elevator door was to be simulated with the use of a 12VDC
bench-top mounted motor that opened, stayed open, and reversed
after ten seconds at each floor after being called. A 12V DC motor
was used to hoist the elevator and IR sensors were used to indicate
when the elevator was at the floor in position to open. The entire
system included a master start-stop circuit to ensure that the
operation could be completely shut down for emergencies or repair.
The final aspect of this experiment was to intelligently organize
the ladder logic to make troubleshooting easier. To do this, all of
the subroutine jumps were placed in the second ladder and the
actual subroutines in its respective ladder.

The huge growth of internet has exposed the problem of scaling and
management in a big datagram based packet communication. New
algorithms, architectures and routing protocols are regularly being
developed. New protocols on internet layer and improvements to
existing protocols are continuously being planned. Because of this
rapid boom in the internet world, a lot of applications and devices
are being developed. All of these applications and devices needs to
show better consistency, performance and effectiveness for
transferring data over a network. Router plays a crucial role in
sending the data from one network to another network. IP based
routing is used for exchange of data on internet in spite of better
functionality, it also have some drawbacks as well because of large
amount of growing demand by the new internet applications and
software. The term Traffic Engineering (TE) is used to resolve the
issues related to IP routing. It is used to produce the expected
and definite services to the users of internet service. Traffic
Engineering can be applied with the help of multiple networks.
Due to the regulations of Basel II and the present financial crisis
the demand for Factoring and Forfaiting services is increasing. The
rise in receivables means more business but at the same time more
risk. The aim of this work is to present an overview of the risk
management strategies involved in Forfaiting and Factoring services
as the convention of Basel II forces the financial institutions to
introduce higher standards of risk assessment and management.
Besides documentary analysis of relevant material, expert
interviews were conducted with nine professionals working in the
factoring and forfaiting industry and analysed using ground theory.
Results from the interviews and literature stress that the present
economic downturn exposes Factoring and Forfaiting companies and
banks to a higher credit risk, nevertheless they also benefit when
compared to the conservative lending of banks. Finally this work
concludes that a Factor must define its organisational goals
focusing on clear identification and awareness of risk with the
capability to adjust to changing business conditions.
