Young and Called, an exhilarating journey through the joys and
trials of receiving a divine call to minister to the hearts of
God's people at a young age. Jenice Borges shares with her reading
audience, her personal experience of hearing the voice of God and
accepting the call to ministry at a young age. It will bring
enlightenment to other young people sharing the same testimony and
provide helpful insight on dealing with the joys and struggles of
being in ministry and the sacrifices one has to make for the sake
of the call. This will be an enjoyable read for anyone.
"Look With Me" is a book of poetry storytelling for toddlers and
preschoolers. It includes three short stories that provide
stepping-stones of adventure as seen through the eyes of a child.
The words and illustrations encourage little thinkers (our
children) to speak about what they see. Read along with your
children and help them explore the world they see, hear and
imagine. Looking is part of the adventure in every child's journey
of exploration. Encourage children to speak and share their
thoughts as you dialogue with them about all the things that they
see. One story, "Looking Together," is especially dedicated to
children without sight. Looking is not just about what is seen with
the eyes, but what you hear and feel in your heart and mind. The
book is written and designed to encourage children to talk and
share ideas as each story ends with a question.
Have you ever wondered what babies and toddlers might be able to
discern about events going on around them? Have you ever worried
that something you did in the presence of a small child may be
remembered by him or her? Do you assume that just because you can't
recall much about your childhood, others can't either? How about
their level of understanding.do you assume that because a child
doesn't ask a question, or talk about a particular situation, he or
she doesn't understand or isn't ready to receive that knowledge? Be
careful what you say and do, because you may have a surprise when
that child grows up. Light in the Closet is the true story of a
girl growing up in the 1940's and 1950's, and her observation of
the times and experiences she had. Seeing life through the eyes of
a child is enjoyable reading for any age. Baby boomers and their
parents' generation will revisit memories from their childhoods,
while younger generations will find humor in the navet of the
country people and the innocence of the children. Light in the
Closet is filled with drama, tragedy, tradition, humor and the
shocking discovery a little girl makes, as she wanders through life
in a small, Midwest farm community.
