In the waning moments of the 1973 session, Washington's state
legislators voted salary increases for all elected officials.
Charles H. Sheldon and Frank P. Weaver (who was one of the special
judges) provide a unique insider's account of this important
episode.
This is a short story written by my 13 year old sister some 27
years ago. A charming tale of a family of six mice living in a big
Victorian house, in the small village of Thistlewood . Felix, Mary,
Peter, Joe, Toby and Sandy love spending their days scaring the
house maid, eating cheese and generally getting up to mischief. As
a family they make clothes, go to the Cheese shop (to steal
cheese!) and party. My sister has told a delightful story of life
as a mouse and it was a great pleasure reading this short story for
the first time. Joanna Tracy
