The purpose of this book is to aware the people about the medicinal importance of Neem, Tulsi and Shisham which is commonly found in various states of India. These three plants are easily present in our surroundings but people does not know their medicinal value. In this context, this book describe ant-inflammatory, anti-bacterial activity and also give the knowledge about some other medicinal uses of Neem, Tulsi and Shisham. The book is useful for undergraduate and postgraduate students of chemistry, biochemistry, industrial chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy, microbiology and related disciplines. Its our mission to declare authentic, scientific, authoritative, update knowledge and information about anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial potential and other importance of all these three plants to Health Care Educational Institutes, Herbal Drug Industries and Research and Development Units.

The earliest recorded evidence the use of herbal drugs in Indian, Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Syrian texts dates back to about 5000 years. Therapeutic potential of herbal drugs particularly in India, Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani etc. consists of large number of herbal remedies, being used from ancient times and having their potential therapeutic claims with their quality control specification. No doubt Herbal products have occupied a major part in curing different human ailments, but what about the quality of these products? These drugs are suffering lack of standardization parameters and proper documentation based on scientific knowledge. The information presented in the present volume will have a considerable impact on Scientists, academics, industrial chemists, researchers and interested laypersons, in particular with different aspects of herbal drugs as standardization, quality control and therapeutic potential of herbal drugs.
