Adventure drama based on the novel by Elleston Trevor. The story
revolves around the plight of Captain Frank Towns (Dennis Quaid), a
pilot whose C-119 cargo plane full of oil workers could not
withstand the violent winds of a desert sandstorm. Stranded in the
harsh terrain of Mongolia's Gobi Desert, Frank and his navigator
face a challenge in maintaining order among the survivors. The
group of oilmen had planned on an uneventful trip to shut off a
group of rigs falling below their productivity expectations - not
fending for their very lives. Before long, some men are revealed as
cowards, while others exhibit a surprising show of strength, all
the while hoping that the wreckage of the original plane can be
salvaged.

Set at the end of the reign of James VI and I, The Fortunes of
Nigel sits among Walter Scott's richest creations in political
insight, range of characterisation and linguistic virtuosity. Well
versed in the political literature of the period, Scott drew a
detailed picture of London in the early 17th century while charting
the effects of Scottish influx into the English capital: the
ambitions and fears of the incomers and the suspicion they aroused.
The complex web of political (and sexual) intrigue, and especially
of all-important financial dealings and double-dealings, is traced
with a master's hand. No Scott novel has a more memorable cast of
characters. King James heads them, with his childish
irresponsibility and elusive character: a would-be Solomon and
father of his country, theological disputant, prurient bisexual.
But not far behind are jeweller George Heriot, clockmaker Davie
Ramsay, courtier Sir Mungo Malagrowther, servant Richie Moniplies
and many vivid minor characters. Steeped in Jacobean drama, this
tale shows Scott revelling in the linguistic riches of the
age.Previous editions have obscured his virtuosity (as seen in a
dazzlingly proto-Joycean monologue by a Greenwich barber), but
painstaking examination of the manuscript and proofs for this new
edition allows the full vigour of Scott's achievement to be
savoured for the first time.

Born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary and dangerous powers the result of unique genetic mutations. But under the tutelage of Professor Xavier, these and other outcasts learn to harness their powers for the good of mankind. Now they must protect those who fear them as the nefarious Magneto, who believes humans and mutants can never co-exist, unveils his sinister plan for the future!

X-Men 2
Hatred and distrust brew between human and mutantkind. An unprovoked mutant attack on the President gives General William Stryker his long-awaited opportunity to wage all-out war against the mutants. A war that would leave only one race victorious. The X-Men must unite with their old adversary Magneto to prevent a devastating confrontation that could destroy everyone on the planet.

X-Men 3
Experience the awesome power of the X-Men's epic, final battle as it is time to take a stand. After a controversial "cure" is discovered, mutants can choose to retain their superhuman abilities or give up their unique gifts and become "normal". When peaceful mutant leader Charles Xavier clashes with his militant counterpart, Magneto, the battle lines are drawn for the war to end all wars.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Leading up to the events of the first X-Men movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.

X-Men: First Class
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were arch-enemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

The Wolverine
In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past
The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in the critically-acclaimed blockbuster smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past - to save our future.

Facing a volatile stock market, many people have turned to real
estate as a way to invest their hard-earned money. While many
investors opt to buy property and then sell it quickly, other
investors choose to hold onto their property for a longer period of
time to realize a greater return on their investment. Real estate
experts Scott Frank and Andy Heller have developed a proven and
diversified program for real estate investing that incorporates
both approaches and enables investors to take control of their
financial futures and build wealth over time. Their new book, Buy
Low, Rent Smart, Sell High: Real Estate Investing for the Long Run
outlines a win-win-win program, one where average people can reap
significant financial rewards by investing in real estate. * Win
One: Buying Low - The investors first win occurs by purchasing real
estate at a 10-20 percent discount by seeking out motivated buyers
and avoiding paying agent commissions. The book reveals the secret
to buying foreclosed homes with clean titles from banks and
mortgage companies. * Win Two: Renting Smart - The property is
rented through a lease/purchase agreement. Not only does the
investor get a down payment from the lease/purchasee, but he or she
also receives monthly rent that usually exceeds the monthly
mortgage payment. Also, the lease/purchasee takes on the
maintenance and repair responsibilities and tends to be a better
tenant in return for their special lease/purchase terms. In
addition, as the owner of the property, the investor is able to
receive tax write-offs. * Win Three: Selling High - The final win
results when the lease/purchasee exercises his or her right to
purchase the property. The owner has realized the benefits of
owning the property and has sold it to the lease/purchasee without
agent commissions. If the lease/purchasee decides not to exercise
his or right, the investor still wins because he or she can either
extend the lease purchase agreement and increase the purchase price
(based on property appreciation) or enter into another
lease/purchase agreement with a new tenant and begin the cycle of
wins all over.
