1 Peter 5:7 - "Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you." What an amazing truth The Lord our God and heavenly Father, the eternal, almighty God of heaven and earth, truly cares for us who are His own dear children. Indeed, He cares for us with the gentleness of tender love and with the multitude of tender mercies. As sinners before Him, we are not worthy of such tender love and of such tender mercies. Rather, as sinners we are worthy only to receive the outpouring of His fierce and fiery wrath against us. Yet out of the overflowing abundance of His goodness and grace, the Lord our God and heavenly Father pours out the multitude of His tender love, mercies, compassions, and care upon us. Oh, how this truth concerning the tender mercies of our Lord ought to fill our hearts with spiritual confidence, courage, and comfort. Herein we may find the spiritual confidence to set our whole-hearted trust and hope upon our loving, tender Lord. Herein we may find the spiritual courage to continue without fainting in the service of our loving, tender Lord. Herein we may find the spiritual comfort to rise up with fullness of joy in the fellowship of our loving, tender Lord. Who is a God like unto the Lord our God, who de-lights in showing mercy unto His own? (Micah 7:18) He is our loving Lord. He is "the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort." (2 Corinthians 1:3) He is the good Shepherd of His sheep. In gentleness and tenderness, He leads us in the right way. Even when He must lead us for our spiritual good "through the valley of the shadow of death," He will provide us with the spiritual courage of His loving presence and with the spiritual comfort of His tender mercies. (Psalm 23:4) Surely His goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. (Psalm 23:6) Dear reader, it is my earnest prayer that you may indeed find spiritual confidence, courage, and comfort through the message of this small book. It is my prayer that the Lord may use the message of this book to direct the focus of your heart upon Himself. For the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord, Abiding in Christ, and Christ in us, Pastor Scott Markle

Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established. Proverbs 24:3 Brethren, how important is it for us to know, understand, and follow God's wisdom concerning the home? Certainly all of us in one manner or another, either as a child, as a spouse, as a parent, or as a sibling, have had, and may yet have, a relationship with the home. In fact, most of us expect to have some relationship with the home for the entire extent of our lives. Thus the home is a significant element of our lives from beginning to end. Furthermore, the marriage relationship itself is of primary significance in most of our lives. Yes, our Lord does indeed call some to be single. Yet the majority of us will enter into the marriage relationship, and for most of us that relationship will extend over the majority of our lives. Yea, even before we enter into the marriage relationship, we generally spend some period of time thinking about, planning for, and developing relationships that might lead to marriage. Thus the marriage relationship is indeed a significant element in our lives. Finally, the marriage and home relationships are the foundational building block of society. As goes the marriage, so goes the home. As goes the home; so goes the church, and so goes the country. Since marriage and the home are so significant to our existence in this present life, certainly it is of great importance that we find trustworthy guidance concerning their success. How much more trustworthy guidance may we find than that of the wisdom of the Lord our God Shepherding the Flock Ministries 7971 Washington St. Melvin, MI 48454 (810) 378-5323 [email protected]
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, And he shall lift you up. James 4:10 The primary purpose and premise of this book is to focus our attention upon the principle that Biblical humility is absolutely necessary for spiritual revival. Indeed, the ground of spiritual revival is the ground of Biblical humility; and the ground of Biblical humility is the ground of spiritual revival. Without Biblical humility an individual cannot enter into the path of spiritual revival; and when an individual turns aside from Biblical humility, his progress along the path of spiritual revival will be lost. If we desire spiritual revival, let us humble ourselves. Let us humble ourselves to repent of any sinful iniquity and stubborn rebellion in our lives. Let us humble ourselves to plead for and trust in our Lord's abundant grace for our lives. Let us humble ourselves to deny all self-will and to submit ourselves wholly unto our Lord's will. Let us humble ourselves to tremble at the truth of God's holy Word with a life of faithful obedience. Let us humble ourselves to depend wholly upon the power of our Lord's might for spiritual victory. Let us humble ourselves to give all glory and honor unto the Lord our God and Savior. To those who will humble themselves, the Lord our God has certainly promised His work of spiritual revival in their lives. To those who will humble themselves, spiritual revival is divinely assured.
